Bottle. Pours a clear ruby garnet with a fairly large beige white head. Dusty papery hops and a bit of toast on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet toasty malt with a bit of a hoppy background. Light bitterness, easy drinking, but not a lot of complexity. A bit of that papery note from the nose comes back into the finish. DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear deep coppery with ruby edged and 2-finger off-white head. Nose is piney resiny hops, mild vinous fruit, caramel malt. 12oz bottle, shared by DanielCoor. Mostly clear red / orange color. Good thin off-white head. Solid spread of lace. Decent-looking, but the nose is less-promising. Light caramel malt, some odd vegetable aroma. Medium body. Light, softer, kind of smooth carbonation. More bitter taste. Spicy fruity hop aroma in the aftertaste. Light caramel malt, little toasty malt. More dry in the finish. Alright red ale / IPA hybrid. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Bottle. Pours amber reddish with an off white head. Light flowery hops, with a lightly sweet malty base. Dull and lifeless for an IPA.
