Bottle. Pours gold with a thin head. Lightly sweet malt aroma with some faint notes of spicy hops. The rye malt is much more evident in the flavor, some light piny and floral hop notes combine to make a pretty decent winter IPA. joeymacaroni (309) - Wagontown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 21, 2009
pours clear pale straw gold with a fluffy off-white head. aroma is light, mostly bitter pine/slight mettallic and fruity notes with a slight spicy hoppiness. flavor is slightly bitter and spicy, rye comes more in the aftertaste, builds with time. finish is dry, bitter, long lasting. not as many ibu’s as i would have hoped, but not bad. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 18, 2009
12oz bottle. Small white head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, grapefruit/pine, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit/pine, some apricot, caramel. Light-medium body. jmulv (336) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2009
Certainly not their best offering, pretty bland and uninteresting. Tastes like a mildly hopped IPA with a bit of a wheaty backbone to it. Goes down fairly easily, but a bit too bitter to be truly sessionable. PhatB420 (840) - Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 11, 2009
Ryeness prevalant like an obscure rhino at the beach this is solid! the hops are mad wild which drives home the point of self gratification of the brew. Ingest and become one with the rye!

Aroma: Aroma is rather faint, consists mostly of fruit, honey, and some grains
Appearance: Pours a clear orange color with a fizzy white head, some lace
Flavor: The flavor has some fruity hops, sweet malts, rye, bit of metallic finish
Palate: This one is fairly light of body, a bit on the astringent side, fizzy carbonation, dry mouthfeel
Generally speaking, I don’t know what to say about this beer. It’s just OK. Not a whole lot else to say. Drinkable, but you could skip it too.
**Just submitted a Photo for this one as well, as it was missing one.
Shared Bob’s bottle. Grainy nose, complex palate with a hop kick. Nice, but not much to say about it, a bit average for an IPA but that is still a good thing. FROTHINGSLOSH (8291) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright amber color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was faint rough fruity hops. The flavor was dryish, bitter and a bit rough with some fruity hops and not a whole lot else. A touch earthy towards the dry finish. Ok. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 3, 2009
12 ounce bottle from the winter sampler. Pours a clear golden color with a moderate sized head. Poor head retention and fair lacing. Aroma is very faint... caramel, spicy rye and leafy hops. All very faint. Taste is fruity hops with rye and a bitter hoppy finish. Fruity throughout. Medium bodied. bobman006 (339) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 30, 2009
Bottle. Pours golden orange with tight white head. Aroma is floral with grass, grain, and caramel. Flavors of grain, cheese (w/ cheddar, gouda, and swiss), and an earthy bitterness. Smooth and silky. Could use a little more body. A little dull but satisfying.
