Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a medium amber color with a billowy white head. The head fades rather rapidly leaving only a very light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is a mix of a grainy smell and a more lemon like aroma. There is a little bit of a fruit sweetness as well as a little bit of a floral smell as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a light and smoother bready taste mixed with a little bit of a lemonade sweetness. The sweetness quickly fades with the lemon growing a bit more sour as the flavor advances toward the end. As this occurs the bready taste takes on a more grainy nature. Along with the advent of the grainier taste, so too comes some flavors of a grassy and floral hop, in the end, leaving a light but crisp flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very light with a carbonation level that is average to slightly above average. For the grainy and lighter tastes of the brew, the feel is perfect as it creates a more crisp brew and makes it all that much more refreshing.
Overall – Not a bad session brew. In considering the lighter grain and citrus flavors of the brew the decent level of hop at the end gives it just the right kick, all while the low abv makes it a good session and quite refreshing.

Bottle. Pours golden with white head. Nose is pale malt, corn, citrus. Tastes of pale malt, mild hops, citrus, and honey. Watery finish, but it is sessionable for the layperson. KajII (800) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - NOV 2, 2013
12oz Bottle. The pour was a clear amber yellow with an average (1-2 finger) white fluffy head that reduced down to a thin film with a medium collar and had fair spotty lacing.

The aroma was of grain malts, grassy hops and an earthy yeast with notes of citrus (lemon and orange), honey and a light adjunct (corn) presence.
The taste was a light malty sweet with a touch of honey early on, progressing with a grainy bitterness and a hint of citrus towards the finish. The flavor lasted an average time following the swallow, with a lightly bitter citrus taste disappearing rapidly off the palate.
Mouthfeel was light in body with a dry, watery texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this was a clean and crisp Blonde Ale with a smooth and easy drinkability, and although I did not find it to be anything special it still was not to shabby... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews
Bottle: pours a medium yellow with a white head. Aroma is slightly grainy and sweet. Taste is "just beer" boring, but drinkable. It’s not bad, enjoyable for sure... Just nothing that I will ever remember. nuplastikk (6289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 19, 2013
12oz bottle. Pale yellow-tan body. Thin, glass lacing head. Pretty sub par in comparison to all the quality Citra Pales ales of 2012-2013, but still a decent offering. The aroma is sort of lacking, but it has a nice rindy bitterness to it that I enjoy, flavorwise. Medium bodied. Kind of neutered of what makes the style. Still quite drinkable, no off flavors.

9/14/2013: Saranac Session Ale... I was HOPING that this beer would be more of an English Mild, but it’s definitely not. Instead, it’s a fizzy, straw-colored brew that lacks an aroma and tastes dry (like its overly oxidized) with a handful of dead flowery hops thrown in. To make things worse, the beer is too carbonated. I didn’t care for this beer at all. It’s actually worse than the mainstream American Pale Lagers. The only thing this beer has going for it is the lower ABV, but too bad it doesn’t taste good enough to actually drink! 12 fl. oz. bottle from Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield, Ohio. Rating #29 for this beer. rondphoto (4455) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Light amber with a good white head, wide swaths of lace. Taste is malt that I believe has corn or rice in it, followed by light hops for simple balance. It certainly is a session ale, but without the hops, its just another Bud Light. mansquito (6438) - Nueva York, New York, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Leftovers: Pours golden with white head. Aroma is bready malt, light citrus hops. Taste is slightly hoppy. Not at all sweet. Very simple. Easy-drinking and not total crap like some Saranac beers, just boring like most other Saranac beers. HighlanderOne (1332) - York, SC via NJ, South Carolina, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Poured from bottle. Aroma of hops, spices and malt. Golden with white head, a bit of lacing. I taste spice, pepper, hops, roasted malt pretty much in even proportion. Crisp, dry feel. Good stuff - I could see having a few of these in a sitting. LilBeerDoctor (3931) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a thick white head. Aroma of bready pale malts, bitter earthy hops, light fruits. Flavor of pale malts, light fruits. Bland but drinkable.
