Medium gold, thin white head. Subtly hoppy nose. First sip is fresh & bright, more tart than bitter. Light-bodied and easy drinking, it has a slightly creamy texture. Light citrus and nut aromas and a little coriander. Overall, it was pleasant. Darwenus (1156) - Virginia, USA - APR 16, 2013
Cloudy copper color with a brief head and a little lace. There just isn’t any aroma to comment on. It has no smell. At least it doesn’t stink, I guess. The flavor reminds me of a mixture of weak IPA, iced tea, and maybe a little cough syrup. I will avoid this beer from now on. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 12, 2013
Super clean, light suspended dust. Nose is super grainy and vegetal. I honestly did not expect it to be this bad. Flavor is similar but you can actually taste a little bit of centennial hop and that signature saranac metallic yeast. Ugh. collinmb (66) - - JAN 27, 2013
A pretty delicious ipa, and easy to drink. A pretty golden amber color, and good lacing.

Glassware: Yuengling pint...Occasion: still in the afterglow of the Christmas holiday...Appearance: thick, meteor-laden chunks in the pale white head; burnt orange body; head laces thickly as well-promising...Aroma: bright, punchy citrus-orange peel and lemon zest--a bit of soap dish affects the scent...Palate: begins medium-bodied; slightly obtrusive at the throat; foamy and soft at the teeth...Taste: oddly a combination of puckerish hops and troublesome aftertaste--not a beer to enjoy slowl--or often--due to this quirk...Overall: Not a session IPA after all, unless I ended up with a bad batch...not among Saranac’s better offerings...

Session IPA? I’ll be the judge of that, Matt. Poured from twelve ounce bottle from Saranac 12 Beers Of Summer variety pack bought at Sams Club. Light amber/gold hue, medium white head, light bittersweet aroma, light bittersweet flavor with sour undercurrent. The only session this would be suitable for would be with a bunch of guys under a bridge holding paper bags of their favorite cheap swill. Otherwise, avoid. Bottle. Dark. Overly malted. Taste is a slightly bitter amber ale. I guess it’s easy to not sacrifice hop character when there’s none to begin with. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - OCT 23, 2012
23 Oct 2012, bottle. yellow, clear, steady bubbles, foamy head. nose is mild spruce and lemon pith. thin body and fizzy. crisp, mild lemon hops. not much here. budznsudz (582) - Audubon, New Jersey, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Drank from the bottle. Aroma is of a macrobrew. No hops to speak of. This tastes like a miller high life. I can’t believe this is an ipa. One word: Pathetic coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Digging about in the cooler during Barry’s shindig yesterday, I fell across this. Yes, a nice session. But fairly lackluster in all aspects of direct from the bottle consumption. No discernible nose. Mouthfeel is meh. Watery and blah body eventually leads to a forgetable finish. Hops must have been in small quantity for they did little to impress. Consumed during all encompassing discussion of the Song of Ice and Fire 5 book series with Anne and Joy.
