12oz bottle from Orchard Fresh, Orchard Park, NY. AMber with a ring of white head; floral aroma; delicate tropical fruit taste with a solid grainy body, perhaps a little too sweet overall; and a clean floral bitterness to finish. Certainly different from the average pilsner. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - AUG 28, 2014
12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s. It pours a pleasing gold color with a white head. The aroma is strong with bready pilsner malt, light caramel and some grapefruit, orange fruit. The flavor is mildly sweet with some grape, citrus and caramel. Clean finish, but a little fuller bodied than I would like. The caramel flavors throw it off just a touch, but otherwise a very competent American PIlsner. kidobutai (693) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - AUG 27, 2014
Poured from a bottle. Slight head. Amber color. Floral aroma, smells better than it tastes. Like a pilsner. ganache (5958) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 24, 2014
Bottle. Nose is very sweet with sugary lemon overtones, tripel-like, really. Pours bright yellow-golden with avg carb and a dense, soapy off-white head. Taste is sweet if a little hollow, forced graininess and light sugar, juicy lemon and very thin pale malt, and faintest hint of the tropics; this is cleanly hopped and refreshing, but it’s not terribly exotic; touch of hop mustiness in the finish. Bare lager crispness, very light body, has the overall feel of a Kölsch or golden ale, and stands up relatively well both by itself and against food. Had a ton of this kind of lager in Germany over the years, though this has a tad less in the way of industrial overtones. I’m happy. nearbeer (5462) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 24, 2014
12 oz. Clear, golden-amber with a lasting meringue of foam. Crisp nose of spicy grass and mint-citrus hop over a base of honey. Tastes are spicy grass, toast with honey, and lemon-menthol. Near-medium body is a bit fizzy and flares up in the mouth at times. Nice balance with a dry, hoppy finish. The hop is too minty for my tastes, but this is a surprisingly good American take on the style.

Six pack. The 28 IBUs sounds low, but this is a pilsener, so that’s enough to hold off any sweetness. What matters most is flavor hops, and this has them. For all the talk about Belma hops, they taste like noble hops here. I don’t get any citrus, which is a good thing. This is good stuff for Saranac. Orangey yellow, big white head. Smells very grassy, with bready notes. Taste is clean, crisp, with some grassy, a touch of aspirin. Might be benefiting from lowered expectations, but not horrible... jredmond (8338) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 15, 2014
Draft at pony with Tom and David. Pours a hazy golden. No head, minor lacing. Aroma is pils, cat pee and grass. Mouthfeel is light to medium with notes of grass, spice, yeast - much more yeast character and light fruit. MarkoR (959) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 15, 2014
On tap at the Frog Pond, in Rochester. Pours a hazy golden colour with small off-white head. Aroma and taste of hops and malts. Pretty refreshing. Well balanced.

The aroma is grass, vegetable. The appearance is clear amber, white head. The flavor is grass, vegetable, caramel. The finish is noble hops, sweet. Medium in body. Ok.
