12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Clear gold with a decent white head. Herbal nose, with floral notes and wet grass. Light malt flavors, earthy hops with herbal notes, bread, some sweetness and lo-med bitterness. Light, refreshing but not too exciting. OK.

12 oz bottle Saranac Wild Hop Pils. Pours clear, dark golden with a sudsy head that has decent retention. Somewhat low visible carbonation for style. Aroma: fairly balanced mix of malts and wild hops. Flavor: more hop dominated, as expected for style. Feel: near medium body with lively carbonation. O: an interesting beer worth trying for the rare Belman hops.

Nice floral hop aroma with almost a lemon rind like malt smell too. Taste is slight lemon, some nice malt and floral hops. Very drinkable full flavored lighter beer. Nothing mind blowing, but well done beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

joejames (510) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2014
Bottle to English pint glass. Pours straw yellow, two finger head, nice lacing. Aroma of German noble hops and hay. Taste is very balanced, sweet light malts, slight bitterness from the hops. Light bodied, lively carbonation, soft mouth feel. Finishes a bit malty for a Pilsner, slight lingering bitterness. Not the best or worst.

Slight off cabbage aroma at first. Perhaps not as sharp at first but goes there after a few moments. Decent co2. I have a place for saranacs in my collection of memories. Plain old pale lager appearance. Goes down fairly easy for its focused bite.

monkeychugg55 (1105) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Clear golden with a nice white head. The aroma has some bready pils malt and Saaz hops, with some citrusy and herbal undertones. The flavor has some nice bready malt and subtle hops, with a slight tartness and only enough bitterness to balance. Full bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Nice, easy drinking pils but has fairly low bitterness for the style.

A golden pils with a thin white head. In aroma, crisp malt with grassy saaz hops, ok. In mouth, decent pils with mineral notes, grassy, saaz hops, nice. On tap at Empire Brewfest 2014.
