The body has a garnet color with good clarity. On top sits a thin half inch thick head which is beige in color and fades quickly. Lacing is very minimal and slick leaving a mostly clean glass behind. It is light overall in the nose with some malty sweetness and hints of leafy, almost herbal/metallic hops. There is a rich bready sweetness up front with some light roasted grain notes as well. This maltiness meats some hop flavor in the middle it and adds a nice moderate balance of hop spice and bitterness with just a very slight metallic edge. It seems to finish quickly and fairly clean. It is dryer than it started but there is still a thin residual sweetness mixed with thin hop bitterness. The body is light to medium with average carbonation. For the style it seems just a little on the light side but everything is in good balance for the style. Once again Saranac has brewed another decent easy drinking beer.

Aroma:The aroma is mid-sweet with some fruity notes and some somewhat off malty notes
Appearance: It pours an amberish color with a small off-white head on it
Flavor: The taste leans way to the off side, this one just didn’t quite work for me
Palate: The body of this one is light-medium, with an okay mouthfeel
For me, this was not a very good beer at all. It isn’t really that I was expecting much, but somehow this one still didn’t meet my expectations. Really, just not good at all.
11/1/2009. Bottle from a sampler pack. Golden color with a white head. Sweet malty aromas with grain and light hops. Watery and lacking flavors. jflopsu (1614) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 28, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2013 Pours a light orange. Has a faint sweet citrus aroma. Taste is sweet mix of citrus and some caramel. Bland aftertaste. weihenweizen (3825) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JAN 29, 2012
Refrigerated bottle poured into shaker. Pours clear amber with half finger that dissapates quickly. Some lacing, medium body, medium carbonation, and caramel malt aroma. Taste is toasted malt and grassy hop finish. Not a fan.

Draught from tbd. Nutty yeasty aroma. Thin feel. Similar taste. Meh. Nothing too special. TheGB (578) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 12, 2011
Pours a dark amber with little head. Almost non existent aroma. Smooth taste with a nice malt taste and a bit of hop balance. Nice and smooth, but not that interesting. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 11, 2011
This was a nice heavier vienna beer. It was kind of sweet with a good malt. jgb9348 (6250) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 24, 2011
Clear light golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of pungent malt, a touch of lemons and not much else. Light-bodied; Strong cardboardie malt flavours with a bit of metal and some light sugars. Stronger pungent malt follows with a little sweetness and a very minor hop taste. Overall, a pretty weak beer, but that’s expected based on where it’s coming from. Definitely worth passing up, but only worth sampling when someone hands you one for free. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle pulled from a Winter 12 pack purchased here in Virginia. thechandler (593) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - DEC 9, 2010
Pours a medium amber color with a slight red tint. Aroma is rich, nice deep malt notes. Taste is metallic. The flavor corresponds to the brews copper color. There’s a bit of malt sweetness, but I’m sorry, I cannot get past the metallic flavor. Not awful, but not great unless you like chewing on wire or foil.
