0,5L bottle, bought at supermarket in Ukraine, enjoyed with new friends in Nikopol UA.
Abv 4,4 to 4,6, and 11’. Printed brewed at Efes Ukraine Donetsk. Scents hoppy, grassy, fresh and fruity.
Almost no head, but normal straw golden body.
Taste of mild hops, sweet malts, smooth mouthfeel and only slightly watery.
Aftertaste sweet rye bread. Overall a decent lager beer, almost to premium lager. thexplorer (406) - Kherson, UKRAINE - SEP 16, 2013
Не худший вариант из Жигулей, но и явно не лучший. sinfull (1655) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Next parody to the USSR brend .Golden color , very small head. Sweet aroma and unintelligible taste. European lager? Maybe. But not Zhigulivske

Actually doesn’t say "Sarmat" on the label but is the Zhigulyoskoye from the SAB Miller brewery in Donetsk. Dull gold. The aroma is mostly grainy with a light hint of apple. The taste is fairly bland, maybe lightly appley, and with little of anything interesting. Mostly just boring. bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2008
Plastic lire bottle. Golden color, no head. Urine-like aroma with some apple. Warery with some aaple and grainy notes. No specific aftertaste. Sad beer.

A sweet flavour with some hop in it. Acceptable bitterness.
Not that interesting really. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 2, 2003
Golden. Slight hens-food aroma. Malty hens-food feel in the flavor. Not that fine really.... Boystout (1000) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - MAR 2, 2003
Pale lager with famous post-Soviet name. Unfortunately the taste differs quite a lot year by year: from disgusting sweet and floral to fairly dry and hoppy.
