Deep copper and super bronze coloured body with a decent two to three centimetre tall tan head at first that fades almost immediately to just a covering on top. Aroma of great spice, light brown sugars and caramel along with a heartier dose of squash and a finish of alcohol, bourbon and some light grain. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong sweet potato and squash flavours at first with a nice spice flavour of allspice and canella along with a heavy dose of pure maple syrup and a faint hit of caramel and dry oak near the end. Aftertaste shows some malts, a bit of earth, some caramel, light spices and ending with maple syrup and a very pleasant sweetness throughout without much alcohol at all and especially no harsh astringent flavours at all - very nicely aged and structured. Overall, a nice beer that shows some great flavours, a pleasant complexity, very smooth finishing notes and good balance throughout. I'm not sure how this would have tasted fresh, but give it some age and this turns out wonderful! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman's in Alexandria, Virginia on 15-November-2015 for US$9,99/mixed six pack, sampled at home in Washington a bit more than two years later on 09-January-2018. jc1762 (1695) - JAPAN - DEC 15, 2017
Bottle into a taster showing pale amber with very sparse white foam.
The nose shows pronounced sweet rum, pumpkin, and sweet baking spices.
The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Baking spice forward with moderately intense notes of pumpkin. Fujimo2000 (210) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - NOV 19, 2017
Pours cloudy Amber with good amount of carbonation. Big aroma of maple and from the description expected very sweet beer. Actually not as sweet and very nice. weihenweizen (4384) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - OCT 12, 2017
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a cup. Hazy golden with medium off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is nice pumpkin and spice. pbarry02 (4) - - AUG 14, 2017 does not count
A little too sweet for me. I thought it would have more of a fall/pumpkin kick, alas it tastes just like advertised with maple.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a very cloudy light brown with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma is oddly of strong banana. The taste matched the smell. An average beer. ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - NOV 9, 2016
12oz bottle and on tap at SLL tasting. Poured a medium brown color, with a off white one finger head. Lots of spice on the nose with a good a amount of sweetness. Not a sweet as I was anticipating, with a taste of butternut squash, cinnamon and nutmeg, obvious maple favors with a hint of vanilla. Smooth body with mild carbonation. UPDATED: JAN 9, 2017 I haven’t been wild about maple beers, but this one is very good. And it’s nothing like a pumpkin ale. It pours hazel/brown with a head that fades to a tan ring quickly. The aroma is really nice. Warm spice, some brown sugar, some of the maple. The maple comes through on the flavor bigtime in the finish, but it doesn’t get old. The rum spices and rich malt are nice, too. This beer is very good.
EDIT - just had one of these guys poured at room temperature and had to re-rate it. I took the aroma rating up a tick, because I’m just in love with how this beer smells slightly warm. The rum and pumpkin notes are forward, pronounced, and inviting. This beer really is special. NikkTwist (3516) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 13, 2016
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2016 Hazy deep orange amber with a large spread of off-white lace and foam. Sweet dark caramel butternut squash. Moderate maple syrup flavor. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Clove. Vanilla bourbon. Good body. Nothing offensive. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - AUG 18, 2016
Bottle. It pours a deep orange color with a soda pop-like fizzy head that disappears almost immediately. The aroma has some watered down maple syrup, hints of squash and spices. Mostly cinnamon. The flavor is a bit richer with strong caramel, toffee, cinnamon and ginger. Light syrup notes. The body is light considering the high ABV, and the alcohol is hot. Spices are pretty well in balance though. Needs more body and malt complexity.
