I loved it! Aroma is fresh blueberry pancakes hot off the stove. Thick, rich, and dark just like a stout should be. Starts off a bit sweet, then fresh blue berries, pancake batter, fresh milk, dough, maple syrup and butter. Has a nice clean finish, non bitter finish. Yet somehow, i have that taste on my tongue like i have a fresh blueberry skin stuck on it. Most fruit beers fall into 3 categories. 1. weak fruit taste and not sweet so i fell like it does not taste like the actual fruit. 2. Super sweet more like syrup. 3. Perfect sweet enough to give me the actual fruit taste but not syrup. This beer was a perfect 3.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2017 Bottle poured into a globe glass. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma is chocolate malt, blueberries, maple syrup, pancake batter. Initial taste is like a blueberry pancake with syrup. No joke. Aftertaste is incredibly light and much the same as it is initially. Mouthfeel is a bit light as is the carbonation. A neat niche beer. Wouldn?t ever buy a 6-pack of it.

Bottle. A- Blueberries, maple syrup, pancakes. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Blueberries, maple syrup, pancakes, sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Never heard of this brewery until I saw it on a shelf in Florida and grabbed it last minute to finish out a mix sixer because it looked like a niche flavor and fun. Wow, it was really tasty. Literally like fresh blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. Not too sweet or fake tasting. I want a lot more from this brewery now. I expect a beer like this from Funky Buddha or something.

Not bad. A little gimmicky and a tad on the sweet side. Aroma was outstanding. Strong wall of blueberry smacked me in the face as soon as it was opened. Closer sniff brought out strong maple syrup. Pour was a nice deep dark brown/near black with a one finger tan head. Taste was big and sweet at first. The strong blueberry overpowered he maple but both were there. Mid sip the beer turned a little watery and finished with sweet sticky blueberry. Tasted stronger than 6% due to the heavy sweetness mild carbonation

Aroma is dark malts, mild maple syrup and fruit/blueberries. The flavor is blueberries, dark/roasted malts, fruit, oily/maple syrup and a mix of tart, sweet and warming/acidity in the finish.

On tap at Constant Spring. Dark with no head. As advertised, blueberry pancakes with maple syrup aroma follows thru to taste along with bourbon and dairy. Not sure what you would pair this with, almost more of an after dinner drink. Very sweet, couldn't drink more than one at a time, and tasted better as it warmed. But definitely enjoyed the one I had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
