Bottle. Aroma is bourbon with mild chocolate and roast. Tastes the same with some mild coffee in the finish. Pretty good overall. rumproasts (5592) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 20, 2015
bottle. Drank this side by side with the standard version. Black with small head. Compared to the standard, this seems like the flavors are much more well-rounded. However, the barrel doesn’t come through much at all.

355ml bottle. Black our. Caramel, cracker, vanilla, and a bit of tartness in the aroma. Flavor carries a hint of ashy smoke, some caramel, bourbon, vanilla, low body which is the only flaw of this tasty and not too sweet or boozy brew. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 31, 2015
Dark brown pour, medium brown head. Not bad, not amazing. Prunes, light bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, hints of coffee. rxeight (3225) - Illinois, USA - MAY 14, 2015
Smells like weak ass barrel aged stout. Subtitle barrel. Oak and Astringent. Tastes like weak ass barrel aged stout. Some vanilla and brownie. Overall it’s just weak. Not much flavor. Too thin for a barrel. Flavor are muted. What the hell is so hard about making a 15% stout, loading it with sugar and sticking it in a barrel?

Home run on this barrel aged stout. Perfectly balanced for a nice roasted malt flavor with a subtle bourbon sweetness. No bite in this one. Smells like roasted coffee. This is one of the best in class.

Taster on tap. Black with small tan head around edges of glass. Chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla. Full body oily, soft carbonation, medium to high sweetness. Very smooth throughout. Finish has great oak, dark chocolate, molasses flavors. Very well done.
