Pours cola brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt with some dark chocolate. Creamy body with excellent lacing. Thick, meaty beer with roasted malt, dark chocolate, and some coffee. Nice beer. Dacrza (1094) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - DEC 1, 2017
DATE: December 1, 2017... OCCASION: watching Rudolph with the family... GLASSWARE: Samuel Smith pint... pours a dark black body with a quickly fizzing brown head that rings to an extremely thin halo... the surface is reminiscent of cola or motor oil... molasses, oatmeal, thick roasted malts, rum notes, and a latent lactic finish... a variety of aromas, but nothing dominant or centering... the first sip is grimy and gritty, bringing a full-bodied punch to the mouth.... brackish, long-lasting in its finish, heavy and boozy at 6.8%... vanilla, cereal, lactic milk, chocolate insinuations, boggy peat, and cola... a strong, boozy aftertaste that makes this beer feel bigger than it is... an enjoyable stout that demands attention and rewards the taste buds... tonyreynes (17) - - NOV 20, 2017
Not for my. Too rich, heavy and meaty. I drink it and it sits in my mouth and gut. Maybe I will grow into it

A really good roasty, cocoa Stout. Lots of roasted malt in aroma and taste. MrBunn (2869) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2017
Bottle. Pours a deep brown with a very thin head. Aromas of chocolate, cream, and maybe coconut(??!!). Flavor is a little washed out, but pretty tasty for a light stout. Lots of chocolate and cream. Silky mouthfeel. Just a very enjoyable sweetish stout.

Dark body off white head. Some soapy lacing. Roast aroma, grassy notes, dried fruit. Taste is roast cocoa, ash, lactose. A little subdued. Smooth maybe lacking something in the palate. ljthiessen (1550) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 31, 2016
Bottle, from the Stout Pack. Black pour with almost no head. Aroma is rich chocolate, almost boozy, nice. Taste is chocolate, some sweetness, finishes quite light, a little thin. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 30, 2016
bottle shared poured a dark brown with off white head. decent aroma of roasted malts some creamy characters not sure if lactose was involved or not. even flavor throughout not overly bitter with some mild chocolate notes. overall pretty good wish I had more to give it more of a rating. 12 oz bottle from the sampler case. Started off really well with a very interesting nose of tar and dark maters left better unknown. A bit bitter toward the end of the bottle..
