COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Foreign Extra Stout barrel aged in 1st use bourbon barrels. The 1st use barrels impart vanilla and bourbon notes. This Stout is rich and dark with a burst of chocolate and roasted malts blending with the bourbon and oak flavors.

Feb 2015 bottle. 8.5% abv. Aroma is big vanilla and bourbon, moderate chocolate and light coffee. Tastes like bourbon and chocolate. Dry roast in the finish. A touch of heat from the alcohol but not bad. Very solid.

Dark pour, thanks to northernbrews. Good beer from a great guy. Has some nice molasses notes, bourbon, vanilla, some roast. A bit drier than I expected.

On tap at Saugatuck Brewery. Brown to black with a thin brown crown. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, oak, mild vanilla and dark roasted malts. Big and boozy with chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and some raisons. Finishes up rather hot with alcohol.

Draft. Cherry chocolate malt aroma. Black with small head. Sweet dark chocolate malt followed by intense alcohol finish. Good but a bit boozy.
