bottle - Amber pour, smells of rye and citrus. It has good bitterness with rye, resin, and citrus flavors. Medium bodied. Dry finish. It’s very good overall though for me it’s a little underwhelming for the style as I tend to rate IIPAs highly. shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 17, 2016
Bottle. Orange juice, caramel malt, pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy amber with giant off-white head. Moderately sweet orange juice, caramel malt, and strong bitter pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Decent balance - pretty sweet and bitter but not extreme. Patrickctenchi (6809) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 7, 2016
Very hazy amber....a short tan head.
Orange, pineapple, rye aroma.
Taste is caramel malt, spicy rye malt.
Sweet, creamy.....really nice....very malty, a bit of peel/resin bitter.

Rated on 01-14-2016 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a medium sized off-white head that is mostly lasting, transparent amber body, fizzy carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents.citrus hops, grapefruit, rye, spicy, and caramel malt. This beer’s flavor is moderately bitter, citrusy, fruity, spicy, sweet, and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. A very drinkable beer with a very good taste. There is a lingering hop and bitter aftertaste that is not offensive. This is a beer I would partake in again.

(bottle - 12 oz) Copper pour with a thick white head. Citrus hops with a lot of pine resin in the nose. Flavor has a nice rye dryness along with those piney hops and a slightly sweet and sticky finish. [9/12/15] johnnymusky (1004) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 6, 2015
Bottle from dusty...nose is awesome smells like a barley wine...mouth was light on the rye which was good for me.. decent... mrjaxson (630) - .08 Junction, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 23, 2015
May I just say this is an excellent beer with pizza? Big citrus blast upon pouring and the rye gives it a spicy bite. The Saugatuck marketers might say "delicate balance," but this ale provides a bold punch. Poured from a bottle because, thankfully, Saugatuck now has limited WI distribution. arkurzynski (2460) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 26, 2015
Deep amber. Nose of dank citrus and mild pine with some rye and caramel malt. Flavor is boozy citrus bitterness, rye malt, toasted malt, and light caramel. Lingering citrus and booze. A touch of diacetyl. Decent. darb85 (310) - Canton, Michigan, USA - JUL 14, 2015
Solid well balanced. Fruity at first with with wheat and mild hoppy bitter at the finish. I’m a fan but nothing earth shattering.
