Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a sturdy copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had a nice clean caramel/toffee malt base with some earthy bitter to spicy hops. Light floral hop quality and a touch of leather met with the malts nicely.
The flavor yielded to the sweetness of all of the prior mentioned aromas. Added in a touch of woody sweetness and a little bit of butterscotch. Nice aftertaste of the blended flavors. Semi-sticky sweet malty finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Carbonation felt fine.
Overall, pretty good strong ale, but I almost want to say it leaned closer to the English side. Still, I’d still have again. JPDIPSO (6262) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 28, 2016
Light golden color with a taller, dense, off-white head. Aromas of light fruit, pale male, orange blossom honey and honeysuckle hops. Lighter feel and flavors. Light sweet malt and honey along with some herbal to floral hops. Not something I would jump on often, but it’s worth a ride. 1/15

Enjoyable and dry hoppy with a refreshing citrus and light spice note. Easy going with a good balance, moderate bitterness. A bit of crisp finish, light but strong contrast pintbypint (3770) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 17, 2015
12oz brown bottle. Deep gold, hazy. Compact white head with good lacing. Nose has caramel sweetness with orange and grapefruit. Taste - caramel, fruit, orange, grapefruit. Caramel malts in the finish with grapefruit, pine and orange zest with nice bitterness. Medium bodied. My favourite from their mixed pack.

12 oz bottle pours a hazy golden-orange with small lingering white head which leaves only slight lacing. Aroma is full of bready malts, wuth some grass, but also noticeable pine resin, and citrus hops. Taste is sweet and malt-forward at the beginning until the hops kick in at the long dry finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Body is medium without much carbonation. This was my last choice in a make-your-own six pack, since I thought it would be a blonde ale (not one of my favorite styles). The first sip made me wake up and take notice. This one is substantial, and hard to classify. A well balanced and substantial surprise, which I’ll seek out again. reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 22, 2015
355ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus and pine with some caramel notes. Taste is a citrus and pine hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness. Light to medium body with good carbonation. Overall, a solid IPA that looks good and tastes good. Generous hop profile. Tasty! Takes one of my old favorites, Oval Beach Blond, and as my tastes have progressed toward hoppy IPAs, has added a terrific hop profile, and yet keeping the smooth blonde ale taste. johnnymusky (983) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 14, 2015
