Holy cow... This keg in the cask pub and kitchen tastes like it says on the tin, totally neapolitan ice cream... Deep black.. Thin tan head... Soft chocolate... Big vanilla nose... Very sweet... Very vanilla... Soft chocolate... Long raspberry finish... Ok there a little artificial tones on there.. But its totally nailed neapolitan

Opaque black beer, good pale tan head. Light dry palate with moderate carbonation. The head is milky and tangy. Lactose sweetness contrasts with the somewhat bitter dark malt. Well judged vanilla and sweet tart strawberry. The finish is dry and with dark malt roast bitterness (the dark chocolate factor). Interesting beer - a good idea that could have easily been a disaster, but this is well executed.

Sehr dunkelbraune fast schwarze Farbe, geringe aber feine bräunliche Schaumkrone. Geruch nach fruchtig nach Erdbeeren, Vanille, Röstmalz. Geschmack röstmalzig, schokoladig, Vanille, frische Erdbeeren, lecker und interessantes Bier!

Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2014
Draft shared during the RBESG London 2014 Sunday Tasting. Pours clear brown with a creamy tan head. The nose is sugary bread, light roasted malts, some char. Light to medium sweet flavor with sugary chocolate, ripe strawberry. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with light roast, toasted sugars, dark fruits, mild earthy bitterness. Not bad.
