COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged in 2nd use oak bourbon barrels. The love that went into this beer is indescribable, but we will try. We started with a rich grain bed full of specialty malts to give this beer the biggest and most flavorful body we could imagine. Then we added in a profile of hops the compliment the flavors, but without adding any bittering taste. Olde Ale then went into oak bourbon barrels for months, where it developed complex vanilla and bourbon notes. This beer was finally put into 22 oz bottles and then dressed with custom, hand-branded wood labels. Each bottle of this beer holds a little of our hearts, and now we’re giving it to you. Don’t make us regret this.

355ml bottle. 10.5 abv. Cloudy brown pour.Potent booze aroma that smacks you in the face, some cinnamon and caramel. Flavor is boozy and sweet, just too over the top for me.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate caramel, toffee, bourbon, vanilla, mint, and oak. It’s a dark brown with some orange highlights with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy caramel, lighter toffee, and a hint of raisin. The finish has moderate bourbon, vanilla, mint, and a touch of oak. It’s full bodied with mild carbonation and a sticky/syrupy mouthfeel.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2016 Tap at The Oak. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, chocolate syrup with hints of mint and caramel. Tastes super smooth. Caramel, bourbon and vanilla are perfectly balanced. Nice slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Very low carb. Moderately sweet. Delicious.
