A refreshing sessionable pale ale made exclusively utilizing Cascade hops from start to finish. The citrus and grapefruit hop characteristics balanced with a clean malt body makes it difficult to have just one.

Aroma and taste were "hoppy" for an APA. Slightly cloudy blond color. Lots of flavor for 4.9% ABV!

Cask pour at Day/Night of the Living Ales 2013 at Goose Island - Wrigleyville (Chicago, IL). Pours a lightly hazed straw yellow hue, touches of inviting golden glow. Firmer bubbly whitish head atop dies to a film, laces small. Aromas are gentle citrus, lemon and orange, some grass, florals, bready malts. Initial is firmer bitter hops, resiny and florals, some lemon citrus and rind come into play. A bigger bitterness, small malt bill offer up. Middle is bigger bitterness, big florals, bitter earth, grass and lemons, some grapefruit. Mellow bready malts, straw, crisp grain. Backend is bitter, dry, resiny, a touch cereal grain offers up. Dry and bitter, dandelions, florals, grapefruit and lemons. Bigger bitterness and raw feel up front tapers off, dry and richer. Nice. Really fun find.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2013 Pour from a 12 oz bottle, 6 pack from Hardings. Clear golden brew with a slightly off white head. Nice aroma dominated by citrus and floral hops with hints of caramel and spice. Taste is excellent - hops forward with citrus hops present right at the start of the swallow, but a solid malt background there as well. Hops get more complex with floral, spice and a little cereal taste coming forward. Finish is very dry, lingering citrus and cereal. A most excellent APA.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2015 Thanks to Dad. Very pale clear yellow ale. Quite hoppy for an APA, citrus and piney. Not a lot of maltiness to balance the hops. Overall big for the strength. Serving: Bottle
