12oz bottle from Siciliano’s Market in Grand Rapids, MI. Pours a very deep brown colored body with a huge, over carbonated, four finger-width head that collapses slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is roasts, grains, a light chocolate, and a bit of an acidic fruitiness. Flavor is better. More of a pronounced roasty character up front before some chocolate comes in during the middle to balance. A light caramel and grain as well before this finishes dry and roasty with a nice chocolate malt and just a touch of acidic fruit from the aroma, but not enough to take away from the nice roast and chocolate flavor. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a medium-high carbonation. Overall, a decent porter. The flavor was better than the aroma and had a solid chocolate and roast character with just a slight fruitiness. Pretty carbonated on the pour, but not overly so on the palate. Bottle. Deep brown, huge tan foamy head. Nice aroma coffee and a little chocolate. Taste is a little bitter and the finish a little atringent. Carbonation seems a bit high and body is a little thin for what I like with a porter. Overall a decent porter but not above the pack.

A: The beer pours a dark brown with some reddish highlights. On top sits a massive khaki head, filling much of the glass.
S: Things are not off to a good start. There is a weird fruitiness, I would say blueberry. Quite acidic with a mild red wine vinegar note to it. Still plenty of roasted malt, though.
T: The flavor is harsh. Very acidic with quite a bit of vinegar. There are also some cherries and blueberries to it. Lots of roasted malt along with seltzer water and green apple.
M: Light to medium in body with a very high carbonation.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours dark brown in color with reddish hints and a large creamy beige head. The aroma is mildly roasted malts, some sweetness, and a slight tart quality which was strange. The roasted malts have a hard time coming through because the tart acidic notes in this one. Still some chocolate hints. There is a weird brett component that couldn’t have been intended. Solid porter for sure. Good aroma, good taste and damn if it isn’t a pretty beer to boot. Strong taste, almost more stout than porter (not a bad thing). Bottle. Aroma has notes of chocolate, roasted malts, smoke peat, and citrus. Sits black in the glass with an average light tan head and leaves really good lace. Flavor is medium sweet and bitter. 12 oz bottle. Pours a very dark red brown with a light tan head. Lightly roasted coffee and cocoa aroma. Restrained roasty flavor, coffee, with dark cocoa and a touch of molasses. Maybe just a tiny touch of banana. Great flavor, very well done.
