COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light bodied wheat ale with a large amount of tropical and citrus hops. We dry hopped with copious amounts of Amarillo hops to give this beer a huge tropical aroma and flavor, leaning toward the hoppier side but still a light body.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a creamy white head. Aroma of pine, grain, and some citrus. Tropical fruit flavor with some grain and an unbalanced hop bite. Seemed more of an IPA than a wheat beer.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a very small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated body transparent yellow orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy and wheat. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of wheat and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

12 oz bottle.Pours a hazy amber gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice combination of bitter citrus hops and sweet wheat with a bit of tropical fruit. Flavor starts with bitter citrus and finishes with sweet wheat and some tropical fruits.

Pours goldish yellow with a light haze and leaves a frothy white head. Aroma is citrus, lots of orange and grapefruit, and floral. No real wheat notes for me. Taste is mildly bitter, like watered down grapefruit, but the sweet malty backbone is still just felt. Body is medium, smooth, refreshing. Decent stuff.

Shared bottle. Poured hazy straw with white head. Got grainy pale malt in the nose, hops, tropical fruit. Some fruity, white peppery, floral, spicy hops in the flavor, smooth finish.

Clear gold pour with an off white head and fair retention. Good lacing. Light hop nose and taste. Tastes more like an APA than a wheat ale. Slight fruit flavor drowned by hops. Not what I want in a wheat ale.

4/01/2016 (bottle): Saugatuk Starburst Wheat pours is dusty golden in color with a small white crown; the aroma is like plain, uncooked Cream of Wheat with vanilla powder when the packet is first opened; flavor is very wheaty with some light fruity notes, white grapefruit citrus pith, faint bubblegum, a splash of lemon juice, moderate bitterness and a touch of tartness, very dry and dusty in the finish; medium-light body, ample carbonation; I generally like Saugatuk beers and they have a special spot in my heart for some reason, but I really didn’t care for this one at all due to the overly dry wheat characteristic and powdery flavors.

Pale yellow pour with a thick white head. Has some tropical aromas. Also has a tropical taste with some spice. Dry hoppy finish makes for a nice twist. Really good wheat beer
