Pijiuke's rating

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 4/20
Pijiuke (85) - - JAN 4, 2014
It’s very refreshing. It tastes like wine. It has alcohol. It’s something I can down a six pack in a sunny afternoon. BUT IT’S NOT BEER. My all fours rating doesn’t reflect my opinion of this superb product, just a protest against its listing here.

ljthiessen (1391) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 26, 2017
Bottle. Clear, very pale yellow pour. Aroma is pretty plain apple juice with hints of bread dough. Taste is very light and simple, a bit sweet. Better than some crazy-sweet flavoured ciders, but not much great going on here.

Juks (850) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 12, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours clear pale yellow, white bubbly head, stays long for cider, fizzy. Aroma is sour, apples. Taste is soursweet, but really weak. Watery. Dry watery finish, yogurt in aftertaste. Light body, lively carbo. Weak.

06/08/2016 - from cider ratings backlog.
330ml bottle @ 5%, brewed by Konings NV, Belgium. Clear pale golden colour with a fizzy white head dissipating quickly. Aroma is fairly mild apples, mild sweetness. Taste is the same, fresh apples and some sweetness, dry finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice.

Scopey (15281) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2017
Bottle at 6% consumed in Windhoek. It pours clear yellow - gold with a small fizzy white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky apple juice from concentrate, candy and white sugar. The taste is initially crisp, touch of fruity tartness, sweet apple, apple pie, apple tango and some white sugar. Finish is dryish. Medium body and average, fizzy carbonation. Not a huge amount to it, but it snot that bade really. Alcoholic apple juice.

alexmate (226) - South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2017
Pale gold colour. Nice taste of green apples, pears and lime blossom. On the dry side, but maybe more medium dry. Recommended to the usual gnat’s piss like Magners.

Grumbo (3474) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2017
Bottle from the Savanna (South African shop) at Liverpool Street Station. Pours pale gold with a large but short lasting white head. Aroma of light apple, also seemed a touch of honey. Medium sweetness, very light sour edge. Light body, oily texture, soft carbonation after the initial fizz quickly dies down. Better than most mainstream ciders available in U.K. Finish is slightly dry and quite sweet.

dfearnley (2247) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 26, 2017
This is getting hammered in RB, and I’m not hammered, but this is okay by me. Yeah, it’s not Schrams, but it’s a nice light aperatif. Slightly sour, light apple, and perhaps too much sugar.
