Canette 500ml.

500ml can. Clear golden with a thick white foamy head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma is pale malt, minimal herbal hops, a touch of metal and vegetables. Flavor is sweet (too sweet for my liking of the style) with cereals, corn and a touch of herbal hops and minimal bitterness. Thin to medium body with a slightly sticky mouthfeel.

Wonderful pour filled with solid head and a foggy yellow-orange body. What would go for average in the appearance department in France suddenly becomes spectacular in North America - fascinating. Aroma is plenty of hops and some coriander trying to hide a malty brew. Flavour is hops and more hops with some grain hints on the back end. Dry finish. Not a very good French beer but very refreshing after so many bland North American beers. Try harder, brewers!

jaghana (6229) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 27, 2010
Can 50cl. A yellow golden beer with good head. Smell is grassy ant malty. Aroma is nice on cereals and caramel malt, body is nice on malt components, with grassy note, very better than expected. The only thing is a small acidity-fruitiness at the finish. This beer is only bottled is Saverne, following the bar code seems to be brewed in Slovakia, a good lager anyway.

50 cl can Mulmur, ON, Canada. Pale yellow, sweet aroma, thick head. Too sweet and thick, but drinkable.

Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 22, 2010
A golden lager with a thin creamy lacing white head. Aroma of sweet fruity esters over lemony malts. In mouth, a light biscuitty malt with rather German hopping, light sweetness, not bad conisdering this is sold as a politically correct bio eurolager. 500 ml can from LCBO.

500mL Can from the LCBO. 5%. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white head that disappears quickly. Medium carbonation. Aroma is grassy, hint of sweetness. Crisp clean mouthfeel, moderately dry finish with a hoppy hint that is quite pleasant.

500 mL can. Pale. Doesn’t smell like corn. Other than a little hops, pretty bland. Why bother?

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2010 Canette 500 ml.

Frothmeister (827) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 13, 2010
500ml can. Pours a clear orangish yellow with a white head that quickly diminished. Aroma is malty, with some tropical fruit (pineapple), slight straw, and honey. Mostly flavours of sweet grain, with faint orange pith, and minimal hops in the finish.
