COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: APR 13, 2014 Full-bodied and good dunkel with marked maltyness and slight sweetness. A balanced bitter aftertaste makes the beer feels very well presented.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty and light brwadish. Sweet toasted and caramelish malty. Light fruity note. Sweet and toasted malty finish, light mellow yeasty note.

Bouteille 33cl.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with huge slightly brown head and good lacing. Nose is toasted and bottom yeast like. A very sweet beer, toasted and roasted notes, nice caramel body, finish is on dark chocolate bitterness. Presence of round hops, some ester can be detected too, pleasant beer, just too sweet I think, but good try for this brewery. So, the beer is too sweet and too hopy be a Schwartzbier, a bit too low in alcohol to be a Dunkler Bock so I’ve set it as Dunkel even is some fruity notes are there.

bottle, donated by jaghana - thank you! Deep brown, almost black colour, large beige head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, intensive malty flavours, lots of chocolate and caramel, some raisin. Shy fruity touch. Pleasantly hopps. A very nice Dunkel!

Can from a Monprix on Rue de Tempe, Marais, Paris. Pours dark orange brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is bread/caramel/treacle with hints of hop.Med body, almost. Flavor is sort of towards cola. Not your typical dunkel, I’d say. Still, it’s a flavorful beer, and it’s quite drinkable. Goes well with chocolate cookies. Finishes neither sweet nor dry. Pretty nice surprise, really.
