berkshirejohn (6812) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2016
33cl bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras. An opaque, polished mahogany pour with a thin tan head; aroma of raisins and cocoa powder; fresh in the mouth with a dry chocolatey taste, with cherries and raisins; and then a dry, elegant, cocoa finish. Really well balanced with just enough sweetness to bring out the flavours.

Bottle at home. Chocolate and dark fruits. Lightly toasty malt with subtle caramel notes. Medium body. Semi sweet finish. Okay but not memorable.

Theydon_Bois (21804) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2015
Bottle at Fishcraft, Eton, 17/10/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a well appointed light tan covering with excellent retention. This beer is a looker ! Nose is light roast, minerals, toffee, toasted brown sugar. Taste comprises light hop strokes, earthy, molasses, spice, burnt toffee, faint cocoa, dried dates. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid dubbel, great balance, never to sweet.

Lasting beige head and rich toffee colour. Butterscotch, biscuit, slight roastiness and minimal hops on the nose. Caramel, leather, vanilla and a mellow burn with medium body ending slightly dry. Not a lot in the way of yeast or dark fruit.

Dark Cola brown, well spread ringed eggshell head. Steel wool and toffee nose. Lean nutty sweetness, vibrant soily bitter. Soft carbonation and tinny clean. Finishes a warming choc and lemon Cola sweet linger.

harrisoni (19695) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2015
Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Dark brown ruby beer. Lasting tan head. Brown malty aroma. Some hop on the finish and some bitterness, but still quite sweet. I mean I liked it. Not much Belgian yeast, but it’s well made. Easy drinking and rather likeable. It’s funny I’d drink any of the Savour beers I’ve had this evening again. You don’t have to think to much about them but they have enough character to keep them interesting and utterly drinkable.
