A burst of Belgian yeast spices and lemongrass on the nose followed by a refreshing, bittersweet mouthfeel and lots of big Champagne yeast bubbles. A perfect marriage with delicately spiced and Asian food dishes.

Quite a good saison but I can not taste the lemongrass. Aroma of citrus and spice. Good carbonation.

330ml bottle from Stirchley Wines. Pours clear gold with massive white bubbly head. A bit too over carbonated. Sweet aroma. Taste is lemongrass, spice, citrus, light vanilla, faint bubblegum. Not bad, just a bit annoying waiting for the bubbles to subside.

Bottled 23/08/14. A hazyish amber coloured beer with a white head. Doesn’t provide the lemongrass or spices promised in the commercial description although it does have bubbles! There is a tiny touch of funky yeast in the nose but otherwise it’s pretty much a standard golden ale. Drinkable and perfectly well balanced.

Bottle. Golden-orange colour with a beige head. Aroma is yeast, malt, hop. Flavour is yeast, malt, hop, flower, spices. Ordinary beer.

mile (4069) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 8, 2014
Bottle. Light golden, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel, light floral fruitiness with faint spiciness (coriander), light herbal hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish flavor, light citrus and spiciness, light hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly wheat and lightly sweetish, light citrus and spiciness with light herbal hoppyness. Bit watery saison. (Due to thin body) in the finish spiciness gets slightly sharp/soapy.

Bottle, pours amber with a big wnhite head, nose is spicy and fresh, yet faintly earthy and yeasty. Lemony and hoppy body, with more spicy and earthy notes, and a firm dry earthy English bitter finish. Delicious, my only quibble being how very gassy it is.

jamestulloch (4424) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 4, 2014
Bottle from Sourced Market. Hazy golden body with a large white head that quickly fades. Average carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of basil, lemon sherbet and sea salt. Flavour of sour lemon, lime and sweet yeast. Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Nice fizz. Crisp, easy drinking and refreshing.

Amber brown, paler at the bottom; lemony, yeasty aroma; taste is predominantly lemon, some orange; very dry; nice, long lemony finish; fresh, refreshing and better than many more lauded saisons.

Leighton (22823) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2014
Bottle in Gabrovo, Bulgaria - bought from beermerchants. Pours lightly hazy, deep gold with a large, frothy white head. The aroma holds estery bubblegum, flowers, bread, touches of melon. The flavor is pretty well balanced if a tad bland, with lightly dried bread, orange peel, restrained Belgian yeast expression, cardamon, mild sun-kissed hay. Light to medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Dried bread to finish, some more citrus peel, muted yeast, lightly bitter hay, grass, well-chewed bubblegum. Decent overall.

Geokkjer (7667) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 18, 2014
Bottle. Pours amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of spices, some perfume notes, lemon and malt. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some lemongrass, bitterness and citrus. medium body, average carbonation.
