On tap in Knoxville TN. Saw works Hop battle pours a lighter golden straw color with a very thin head of small bubbles. Nose is faint amount of hay and grass. Body is moderately lively with a nice fizz. Taste is rather faint with some apricot and hop presence. Finishes rather weakly.
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Saw Works Hop Battle on tap at the Tupelo Honey Cafe (Greenville, SC).
A medium strength APA.
Excellent retention in the creamy head. Amber; clear
Very good bitter-sweet balance and a nice mix of hops. Despite the name, they play well together rather than battle. Lasting grapefruit rind bitterness.

Pint at suttree’s. I was not expecting much, but this is okay. There is decent citrus and grassy hops in the aroma along with basement smells. Flavor is non surprising: more fair hop presence with notes of caramel, basement, wet barley. Alright. AgentSteve (1647) - SF Bay Area, California, USA - MAY 3, 2013
On tap, pours medium amber with a frothy cream colored head. Subtle nose of citrus hops and bready malt. Very easy drinking with a moderately hoppy and enjoyable flavor and clean finish. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Deep gold pour with off white head and lace. Aroma is citrus hops and caramel malt. Flavor mirrors aroma with a touch of biscuits. Medium body and a tad fizzy. A really good name for a pretty good beer.

Don’t like it. Orange with white head. Aroma is missing. To me the taste was malt and an old mop. Did not like it. nearbeer (5561) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 8, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2013 Several pints on tap. Amber and clear with a lasting disc of foam. Aroma is toast, light resin and a hint of citrus. Mild flavors of caramel, resin, toasted nut, and eventually some roast. Light-medium body has medium carbonation and is well balanced. Another mediocre, British-New England style session ale from Knoxville Tennessee; yeehaw! The "hop battle" is either taking place in 19th century Europe, or is about whether we should add enough hops to make this an IPA, instead of a PA. Orange, a little bit cloudy. Smells floral hoppy, some fresh biscuits, and citrusy. Very crisp palate. Taste is hoppy - citrus and nicely floral. Thin, biscuity malt flavors, too. Crisp, dry finish.
