In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, we’ve collaborated with our pals at the Great Lakes Brewery and The Griffin Gastropub to brew a beer that showcases all that Ontario has to offer, but also truly represents our home and native land. Using 100% Ontario grown ingredients we’ve brewed a classic pilsner-style lager. Malt from the good folks at Barn Owl and hops from the VQH Hop Farm give this lager a light, cracker body that builds a hop-forward and dry finish. Perfect on the dock in the summer or after the game in the winter. A Place to Stand Pilsner is truly a taste of Ontario!

473ml can. Pours golden and clear. Clingy cramy white head with nice bands of lacing left behind. Nose - fresh oils malt, bread, light hop. Taste - pils malt/grains/bread, some grassy herbal hop notes and a light bitterness. After taste is grassy. Slightly creamy texture, fine carbonation. A well made domestic pils, drinks super easily. A pleasant surprise.

On tap at Bar Hop in downtown Toronto. Pours light straw color with spritz white head and crown lacing. Aroma: honey, biscuit, hops. Flavor: hop-forward; cereal, grain, honey water, floral. Mouthfeel: light- to medium-bodied, clean and fresh. Super tasty, with balance.

Sammy (13148) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 8, 2017
In the style of North American pilsners, little hop and lots of foam, yeast and malt. Not so interesting to finish much of the can.

Spab (4311) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 8, 2017
On tap at Bar Hop Brewco. Pours a clear golden colour with average-sized white head. Aroma is crisp graininess, grass and light tree fruit. Flavour has crackery grains, grassiness and a bit of lemon and apple. Crisp finish. Average body. Nothing crazy, but a well executed pils.
