C’est What tap takeover. A nice integration of cherry and ale. Pleasant tartness yet smooth. Lacy. Great cask. A sipper and something I would have again.
Tart berries, slightly buttery, grassy hops, a little bready malts. Low bitterness, tart berry finish, nothing mind blowing, but decent. Freaky_tiki (1242) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 20, 2014
Pour at the Wren during Beer Week -- under a slightly different name -- is russet with a thin film of foam on top. I’ve asked the waitress about what I’m drinking but she has no clue -- other than the name -- & doesn’t bother to follow up. This is a tart brew, starts with a slight hint of berries, maybe a little marmalade, squished citrus, & a summer sweet tea finish. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2014
[5350-20130507] Cask. Light cherry fruit aroma. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with no lasting head. Buttery bitter cherry fruit flavour. Medium body is a little under-carbonated. Average. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

Light kriek with light taste of cherry. Some tinge of malt. Some barrel but the kriek and barrel kind of cancel each other out. The initial taste isn’t strong enough to withstand the barrel. Otherwise ok. Tap at Winterbrewed. Lubiere (13905) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 15, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2014 Served as James van der Kriek: A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light cherry notes, Brett, not bad. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light cherry notes, woody, nice. On tap at Winterbrewed 2014.

On cask at Bar Hop. Hazy brownish red with a solid tan lasting off-white head. Aroma is vinous, woody with some tart black cherry - taste follows, fairly big dry herbal bitterness and quite nutty - not a lot of cherry but great balance. Average body, a bit acidic, dry and still with a longish dry oak somewhat tannin-forward finish. Works very well, better than most altbiers, for my taste. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2013
Cask at Sawdust City Tap Takeover, C’est What. Pours a very murky orange-amber with no head. Mild aroma of cherries, yes, but not a lot. Flavour of caramel malt, very light cherries and some herbs. Average bodied. Not on style, it would be a decent Fruit beer but disappointing as a Kriek. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2013
2013-05-07. Hazy dark amber body, headless. Aroma is mild, fruity, lightly sour cherry. 6+ Flavour is similarly mild, fruity lightly sour cherry. Average to light bodied palate, low carbonation. Okay, lacks oomph. There really isn’t much going on here. On cask at SC Tap Takeover, C’est What, Toronto
