2013-05-07 - at C’Est What, on cask. So, it’s basically Lone Pine with sweet basil; okay, dazzle me. Pours hazy gold with a minimal frothy off-white head. Great aroma - like a really good tropical fruit-style IPA with just enough basil or sage or whatever pungency to make its presence known - good balance, some alcohol for sure. Taste follows, more basil, less tropical fruit / resin bitterness, but still solid, middlin’ alcohol, Solid body, decent enough carbonation for cask, medium-long bitter finish, a little acidic in the aftertaste, emerging grapefruit pith coating the palate in the linger - solid, solid beer - might actually be better than regular Lone Pine was at the time. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2014
[5348-20130507] Cask. Herby pine aroma. Hazy, dark orange body with no lasting head. More spiced herbs in the flavour with a pine needle basilly finish. Medium body. Interesting, not a fan of the bitterness feel in this one. (7/3/7-/3-/12+) 3.2

Cask at Sawdust City Tap Takeover, C’est What. Pours a murky golden orange with no head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity along with a hint of herbs. Nice flavour, hoppy, fruity and herbal and with a long bitter finish. Just a bit watery. Average to medium bodied. Very pleasant. jercraigs (10591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2013
2013-05-07. Lightly hazy bright orange body, small beige head that fades quickly. Pleasant mild aroma, fruity, modest orange citrus. Light pithy accents and muted leafy green touches. Flavour is similar, pleasant sweet orange citrus. Light bitterness throughout. Mild green leafy notes in the finish, basil character that my palate is not sophisticated enough to have identified without knowing that’s what it is. It’s pleasantly mild, but grows as it goes. Comes out a bit in the aroma as well as it warms up. Smooth average plus bodied palate is good for a cask but nearly flat. Enjoyable. Smelled someone else’s pint later and it had a strong tomato vines like green vegetation and basil character in the aroma. Enjoyable, and MUCH better than anticipated! Cask at C’est What tap takeover. A nice cask. The basil gave a vegetable, green tea taste to a hoppy beer. A nice integration.
