Cloudy blond color, generous head. Very nice aroma, funky, a bit fruity too. Nice body strength; astringency is the main character, Brett presence is huge, and it has a lot of bitter orange, and a mild vinous character. A bit dirty, but to be fair the bottle was shaken.
Aggressive, very nice.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is lovely, with very complex yeasts, lots of brett, a little dry oak from the chardonnay, and funk. Flavour is extremely complex, with loads of barnyard funk upfront, followed by oaky chardonnay, and a fairly subdued but definitely present tartness. Complex, wonderfully balanced and dynamic. Tall can, shared with TylerDurden. What’s "the O.D.B."? Old Dirty Bastard? I don’t know, maybe I’m missing the obvious. Anyway, this was a really great brew! Very hazy golden yellow with a lively white head that left gobs of lace. Interesting profile: quite vinous but with a deep funk, and a lemony tartness, and some peppery green notes as well. Tap at Bar Volo. The blackboard says 10%. Pours translucent bright golden with scattered and smallish off-white head. The aroma... woooooohh, incredible, sweeet candied fruits, grapey sour of the Chardonnay, some Turkish-made watermelon-flavoured bubblegum I remember from my late-Soviet childhood. And at points even minty herbal... Tastes almost as good but the bitterness is a bit too much. The minty herbal notes transfer from the aroma to flavour, plus the sourish grapes. Kinda watery on the palate it seems, with mellow carbonation and dry funky-ish finish. The aroma really blew my mind but the rest doesn’t live up to that even though it’s all round a great BA brew. UPDATED: MAY 8, 2016 2015 vintage. $15 bottle (2000 bottle run). Decants a beautiful hazed topaz with a thick mushy cap. Busy bouquet: imperial saison goodness, white grapes & other fruit. Fantastic tasting beer. Swirls of white wine, apricot, orchard fruit & some really nice funk. The barrel plays a leading role here. Highly drinkable, with a crisp finish, lots of depth & a 10% abv that lurks in the shadows. High level brewing.
