Deep brown pour. The aroma has lots of figgy/plummy sweetness. A touch of rummy sweetness as well as a little bit of spice. There’s some fruit and a bit of allspice and pepper. Fruitcake. Nice beer. mabel (9874) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 8, 2016
[8019-20160107] Tap. Fruity chocolate grains aroma hints at coffee grinds. Hazy, dark brown body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head and some lacing. Coffee-infused toasted sweet grains flavour has a bit of a lull and then sits strongly with a sweet grainy aftertaste. Medium body. Really interesting. Grows on me. Quaffable.
On tap at BarHop. Dark brown with a creamy tan head. Nutty with a light bitterness, some pepper, yeast, sugar and coriander, high carbonation, moderate body, some lemon and more coriander on the finish. crazy_cat_lady (724) - - FEB 27, 2016
Can in Brew Box. Pitch black with lively off white head. Aromas of lemon, straw, hint of coffee. Typical saison flavours, with some faint coffee and dry cocoa. Interesting.

On tap at Arrow and Loon. Pours a good size frothy tan head and has a dark brown appearance. Has some sticky lacing. Aromas are actually quite fruity, some notes of yeast and a bit wheaty. Flavours are somewhat citrusy, some yeast and orangey notes. Average retention. Lively carbonation. Good stuff. Metalchopz (3596) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 14, 2016
Enjoyed at the Loon. This Dark Winter Saison pour a deep brown colour with a beige head, minimal retention and lacing. Grassy notes in the nose with yeast, hints of bananas and candies. Bitter tasting Saison with some darker malts in the background, wheat notes and apples lingering. Interesting darker Saison with wheat notes and lots of other fruits. Goes down smoothly for an 8% ABV. Lubiere (14182) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 5, 2016
A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light candy sugar, light curacao and coriander, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light candy sugar, light curacao and coriander, light chocolate, warming alcohol. On tap at Brother’s Beer Bistro. neongolden (1860) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 27, 2016
(On tap @ Bar Hop, Jan 11 2016) Pours very dark brown with a big medium tan head and lots of lace. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, oranges, mango, dark fruit, dusty yeast, a bit of dark bread. A bit sweet with caramel, orange, banana, bubblegum, a light barnyard hay, a bit of misplaced booze, some astringent and grainy notes with light toast in the finish. Lingering fruitiness and a bit of yeast and dusty notes. Aftertaste of toasty bitter grain. Light-medium body with average carb. Doesn’t really scream saison to me, guessing it was a saison strain used but it feels like a fruity dark Belgian. Not bad at that. jercraigs (10921) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 25, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2016 2016-01-10. Very dark brown body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma interesting aroma, light caramel accented malt, lightly musty yeasty touches. Flavour is dry, it has an almost spiced character to the malt but that is a poor descriptor for it. Average plus bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Decent, different. 7/4/7/3/15 On tap at Bar Hop, Toronto.
