(12oz can, courtesy of mar) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of grass, grain, and metal. Flavor of grass, grain, and corn that had been filtered through a dirty gym sock. crossovert (12642) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 2, 2017
355ml can. BB Dec 2016. This is not a great one, even when stale you can tell it was bad fresh. DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2004
Diluted Schaefer. Pours pale yellow, smells putrid, and tastes horrible. Stay away. SudsMcDuff (8383) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - NOV 16, 2006
its cheap, its a light beer, it has almost no head, its got some alchol in it, and its cheap..... its just a watered down version of regular schaefer, so if your poor fat guy, in need of a buzzz, go for it... jredmond (8204) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 30, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2017 Can. Pours a light yellow golden body, although not sure how I would know, as Iím pretty sure this is only ever crushed via can chug. Lots of off flavors - metal, bitter spice, disgusting grains, stale college dorm floor. A frat favorite thatís probably ruined beer for so many. Maybe the worst beer ever produced.

can, thanks to mar for this throwback classic, clear yellow with a sweet industrial grade fruit aroma, flavor of packing material , metallic sweet fruit thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 15, 2010
(12oz can thanks to mar) very pale yellow with a sparse head. Nose of metal, corn, skunk and funk. Did they seriously not line this can? Taste of dry grain, metal, earth, cracker, no sweetness and a soda-like carbonation. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 11, 2010
Huge thanks to Mar for sharing this American classic.
The beer pours a very light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is grain and nothing else. The flavor is heavy on the grain and heavy on the corn. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not terrible, but a beer with no good qualities. Avoid this one. dwyerpg (6062) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUL 17, 2006
Well, tastes like a lager, but more like a regular than a light. I remember the regular Schaefer as being rather heavy. At least it feels light when it gets to the stomach. Like the Hamms I just rated, this may be scored a little high, due to the fact that I was working outside and it is very hot this weekend. cheap (5794) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 3, 2008
How about the avatar on this beers URL? heheheheh. Unfortunately, my light Schaefer came out of a 12 oz can, mostly unpainted aluminum. Isnít it something that Schaefer is brewed by Miller and the Schaefer light is brewed by Melanie? Iíve had some good biker experiences with the regular Schaefer and was very curious about this lighter stuff. Ubiquitous pale yellow lager appearance. Aroma is a little unrefined and slightly volatile. Fairly refreshing session brew with little offensiveness. I am a little surprized, probably one of the better pale lagers Iíve had from City. Lacks any of the ill effects that City Melanie has had on cheap beer. Canít quite figure it out. Finish is somewhat above average for a City brewed beer. Rather enjoyable for a lighter session if you are a lager lover. Finish is just about as non offensive as the Schaefer. Not too bad!
