jmgreenuk (9743) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 31, 2014
Bottle courtesy of and shared with Deanso. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is light roasted malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a rich fruity vinous alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Didn’t get the "spice" at all I’m afraid.

sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 3, 2013
Poured dark brown with a frothy caramel head. Aroma of sweet vanilla, fudge, dark fruit and latte. Medium body, flavour as the aroma, toasted malt, some dark fruit/raisin with a sweet, fruity end.

Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 21, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Deep dark brown black ish pour. Medium to smaller sized, vast creamy beige colored foamy head on top of a black colored beer. Aroma from the bottle is coffee, marijuana and some liquorice. Wondering if the aroma from the glass differs. Not really: still that marijuana aroma with some coffee and liquorice, also malt roast, chocolate and spices like pepper, anise and speculaas spices. Flavours of roast, earth, spices like mint, star anise, coffee, chocolate, herbs, marijuana, bitters, loght grains and yeast, floral and some grass. Aftertaste is not strong and is a mix of roast, marijuana, grass, chocolate, coffee and bitters. Low carbo, soft creamy oily mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy light oily texture. Very strange stout with loads of marijuana in the aroma and flavour. Good roast and bitterness but a bit out of tune. I would rather have it without spices, I guess.

bierkoning (13451) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2012
Bottle from Borresteijn, thanks! Almost black colored. Chocolate, roast, licorice and pepper in the aroma. Sweet, roasty spicy, peppery flavor. The spices are kept in chack, so the balance is OK.
