On tap at the brewpub. Orange braunes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch mild röstmalzig, Karamell. Geschmack mild röstmalzig, karamellig, mild hopfig, süffig, lecker. Koelschtrinker (20223) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 1, 2011
Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 21, 2017

Draught (One Pint, Helsinki, German Beer Days 2007) (Oi! Tranquility! It was not a bottle!)
Sweet malty aroma. Dry woody taste, a bit sour and brown. Sweetness also pokes through. Bitterness in the finish, which is very dry. Resinous even.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2011 Well hidden in the beautiful small village of Schederndorf, I found this farmhouse brewery with adjoining pub, decorated with pictures of Formula I driver Michael Schumacher. The brewer was kind enough to fill a bottle with his tap only dunkel. Disappointing aroma with a bit of urine. Copper color. Malty flavor with a hint of toasted bread, licorice and pear (2.9).
Re-rate september 2011. Tap in stone jug, Landferienhotel in Schwabthal. Malty, bready but also well hopped. Full bodied, almost meaty. Very well balanced and likeable landbier. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 9, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Ceramic mug, nice, creamy head. The aroma has ntoes of malt, caramel and light syrup. The moderately sweet flavour has notes of malt, caramel, light butterscotch, and the finish is dry with hints of nuts. It’s a nice dunkel. JorisPPattyn (9928) - Ursel, BELGIUM - SEP 12, 2006
Draught Slightly orangey-shaded hazy amber beer with a huge, just off-white collar. Very malty, dark malts, even smokey aromas. Soft-bitterish lined, malty main taste, melanoidins seem just for impression. Touch of bitter chocolate all the same. Light body, just below the "smooth" treshold. If beer is dinner and drink, this is Lenten dinner. Light, but technically straight. Like it. MoritzF (9851) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - AUG 10, 2010
(draught at the brewpub) Hazy, dark amber colour with a small tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet, roast-malty and slightly ashy nose with a touch of burnt grains. Quite bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Roasty grainy taste with notes of caramel, dry and quite slim roasty finish with a burnt and hoppy bitterness. Unexciting but still pretty drinkable. 09.II.08 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Vom fass at Gasthof Will in Schederndorf.
Dark cola brown with a faint haze.
Toasty / bready malt, hint of roast suggested, more cookie-like in the mouth.
Medium-body, medium carbonation, low acidity, watery, maybe a tad sour (stale yeast).
A simple and sweet malt-driven dunkles landbier suffering from slight dirtiness (yeast powder, burnt grains).
