hazy red-amber colour, dense initial head which reduces quickly, malty nose with notes of red fruits and caramel, light phenolic, full-bodied, bubblegum mouthfeel, very carbonated, dry malty and fruity finish pivo (2689) - GERMANY - DEC 12, 2005
Light aroma, gold color, foamy white head. Yeast, corriander, vanilla and candy sugar in the taste profile. Light pepper end. Medium body, creamy mouth feel. Big tripel, interesting too, but I’m not thilled or convinced overall. sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 24, 2007
(Bottled, 6.5% ABV) Very dark brown with a small, tight and tanned head. Strongly rye-puddingy, raisiny aroma with grainy, sweetish maltiness. Sweetish, grainy-caramely-malty flavor with dried fruit (raisins mostly), some orange-peel, and balancing bitterness. Reminds me of St.Bernardus Abt - only with less (and completely hidden) alcohol. Medium-bodied, but slightly thin with medium carbonation. A decent Belgian Strong - although at 6.5% this probably falls into the Dubbel category. fonefan (52426) - VestJylland, DENMARK - SEP 9, 2008

Pours clear, dark brown with a small, creamy, off-white, yellowish head. Aroma is lightly roasted, dark chocolate, plums and raisins. Highish carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Rather sweet flavour, but there are lots of dried fruits; plums and raisins in particular. Nice, sweetish and very lightly fruity tart, lingering aftertaste.
This is a dark brown beer with a generous beige head and a malty toffee aroma. There is a very hearty sweet roasted malt flavor with slight bitterness and carbonation at the finish. Straling (363) - Hoensbroek, NETHERLANDS - OCT 1, 2009
Pours a nice clear brown colour with a good size head and good carbonation.
Aroma is a very pleasant scent that goes all around the room, nice gentle balance of fruits and malts with some good bitterness there too.
Taste is up the same alley, nice and pleasant beer, great on a autumn night! armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 7, 2010

Dark amber-brown beer with a nice, small but delicious tan head. Mild roasted-toasted character in the nose with some fruity aromas of fig and some plum. Smooth mouthfeel with caramel, toffee, belgian fruity yeast taste, a bit of hop in the finish. Pleasant one.
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazy brown body and a small, off-white head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, brandy and candied fruits. Taste is raisins, sherry and a nice mustiness. Creamy carbonation.
