Hop Ruiter (Hop Rider) has a full, almost rustic malt body, and pairs Belgian yeast-driven flavors with American assertive hoppiness. It is dry hopped, with two noble varieties which add complexity, delicacy and a bit of funk.

very hoppy, citrus, fruity aroma. Tastes of hop, sweet and bitter. ends bitter. Realy surprised my nose and myself. A good one!

Location: Draft at RnH, 1/19/13

Aroma: This one has a citrusy nose, with grapefruit, and some spice and malt notes
Appearance: It pours a cloudy gold color with a white head and some heavy lace on the glass
Flavor: This one has a citrus flavor as well, it is light sweet up front with some bitterness too
Palate: The palate is clean, it is light bodied, has a soft carbonation, and a lightly dry finish to it
Overall Impression: I didn’t think this beer was anything special, but it is solid and has some good components to it. The palate/feel was probably the standout part of the beer for me. It is a super easy drinker, especially considering the ABV. I’d certainly say it is worth trying.

Bottle:Golden, hazy, big rocky "bleached" head, dryish citrussy-grapefruity nose, some yeast underneath; moderate-bitter-sweet flavour, soft and medium bodied; citrussy-orangey aromas in the smooth bitter-sweet finish. Well done...

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy yellow orange with a thick frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty with some fruity notes. The flavour is more about the Belgian yeast than the hops, but there is some hoppy spiciness on the palate with a hint of sourness in the aftertaste. I liked this beer, but not as much as some others clearly have.

Braudog (6674) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle. Pours a very light golden color with towering foam on top. Big-time fruity essence here, with an assertive pineapple flavor up front. There’s an underlying acidity that just continues to remind me of pineapple juice. Very easy to drink for an 8.5% beer. (#4870, 12/26/2012)

dreamflower (790) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 22, 2012
Fresh aroma. Big white head that doesn’t go away - maybe a bit too much, still some left at the bottom of my glass, but it is beautiful, marshmallowy. Taste is sweet and the hops give it a nice citrus, grapefruity Bavarian taste. I love it.

northropfrye (3514) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 22, 2012
Citrus and witbier aroma, a touch of pine. Yellow in colour with lots of lasting white head and mirky sediment. Very flavourful citrus, a touch of bitterness, but nice sweet Belgian yeast taste, too. Refreshing, lively. tasty.

kraddel (7783) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - DEC 17, 2012
draft @ waagstuk. very, very refreshing, even more drinkable ! some sweet hop, light mouthfeel.very nbice to drink like a lager or such, but whats with this aftertaste? it reminds me of horses.. maybe hay or such? either way, i dont like that and it ruins the beer for me

wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 4, 2012
Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a murky gold colour with some sediment and a plump white head. Fragrant yeasty nose with notes of citrus, hops and bready malts. Flavour was sweetish with similar traits to the nose, alongside a warming booze hit. Fairly lively carbonation. Bitterness kicked in towards the finish. Decent brew.

Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 25, 2012
750mL with dinner. Yeasty, floral aroma with citrus and cider notes. Dark yellow-light orange color, fine frothy head in abundance. Tastes yeasty sweet, with minor hopping, and a sour backbone. Similar to Duvel, only more sour and less sugary. Doesn’t go out of it’s way to hide its high content, although it is easy drinking and goes with most foods.
