A slightly hazed golden pour with a white head. Very fruity hop aroma of apple, citrus, and a mild tropical note. Some definite yeast and spice notes with a slight malt sweetness. The flavor is very citrus forward but also has some nice floral qualities. Malt sweetness, a bit of spice, and a fair amount of yeast.

330ml bottle from Arden Wines. Dusted, streaming gold propping up a dense, rocky foam. Soapy, perfumed aroma with coriander, jasmine, lemon wine gum, mosquito repellent and honey notes. Clean, perfumed and herbal with lemon jelly and parsley-like citrus finishing with a satisfying bitterness and lingering bread and biscuit. The coriander is pronounced but still enigmatically Belgian. Turbo-charged Hoegaarden, basically. Like it. mar (5440) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 23, 2012

Bottle at Gollem bier/eetcafe. Bartender recommended this when I was looking for something hoppy. And what a good recommendation! Very nice hoppy aroma. Quite bubbly on the palate. Good (in my opinion) American hoppy flavor; fruity and versatile. Once the effervescence settles, it’s actually quite smooth. Some sweetness in the aftertaste (malt? don’t know), along with the bitterness. The style is Belgian Ale, according to RB, but it sure feels like an IPA! Very nice, and comes in at a close second on my list of hoppy Belgians, after the Viven Imperial IPA . Also tried this on tap later at ’t Waagstuk, and it was just as good.
