Clear dark orange to amber beer, creamy smooth off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of honey, orange peel, bit musty, caramel, sweet, a bit off, some rotten fruit. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, orange juice, orange peel, honey, bit sour, caramel, grains. Aftertaste: lots of orange, little sourish, honey, bit spicy. It’s an aged bottle of course, but I like old beer, and this one is not too bad.
(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 13 Dec 2011) Hazy amber colour with brief, foamy head. Malty, slightly toasty nose with dried fruit and possibly a trace of oxidization. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, toast, prunes, orange, a touch of chocolate and a slightly spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. Decent, but I suspect this could have been an old bottle. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 21, 2011
330 ml bottle. 9.5%. From bierzwerg.de.dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - MAR 1, 2011
Amber colour with small off-white head and hell of a lot sediment.
Caramel sweetness, fruity citrus, malt and alcohol in aroma.
Citrusy fruity tart, weak bitterness, mild malty sweetness and lots of alcohol in flavour. Not very xmassy (which is good, thank god it’s not xmas yet).
Oily and thick custardy palate.
the kick is in the aftertaste. Spices, coffee, citrus followed by alcohol. Got this at Bert’s in Utrecht

Bottle: Deep golden, cloudy, lots of U.F.O.’s visible, stable&lacy off-white head; solid caramelly-fruity nose; solid sweet-bitter flavour as well, nearly full-bodied; lemony tartness and a slight bitterness can be found in the nearly solid sweet-bitter finish. Pretty decent "fat" brew, but not too subtle..... Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2010
bottle from Bierzwerg. Hazy golden colour with lots of tiny floaties. Small white head. Fruity nose. Malty body, fruity, rotten fruit, slightly hoppy. Quite ok, and a fruitfly’s delight. MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - DEC 5, 2010
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, slightly orange-golden coloured hue with particles floating around and a medium-sized slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty and sweet (cara-)malty aroma with a delicately fruity touch of apricots and citrus, accompanied by notes of marzipan, ginger and herbal spices. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a calm carbonation. Biscuity malty taste with a subtle fruity touch and spicy notes; sweet malty and moderately spicy finish with a whiff of alcohol shining through. All in all not bad. 05.XII.10 SHIG (4962) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - FEB 28, 2010
