BB Dec-08
Cloudy orange color, small white head. Spicy, minty, licorice, toothpaste, black currant leaves, wet dirt cellar and some alcohol scent. Sugary sweet taste with hints of almond paste and black currant leaves, also the wet cellar again. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. These types of "aged" notes fit better in a darker and more heavy beer, might have been laid down too long, possibly stored in room temp or so.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%. Cloudy brownish yellow colour, huge white head. Very nice aroma of banana and spices (cloves, coriander e.a.), candisugar and Belgian yeast. The flavour is fairly sweet (maybe too much), fruity, spicy and yeasty. Moderate hops in the finish.

Bottle: Cloudy, orangey coloured, persistent off-white foamy layer; mainly yeasty nose with a lot of fruity-orangey spots; quite full bodied, moderate sweet flavour; alcohol in the fruity and sweet-malty finish. O.K., a heavy brew, not very exciting.........
