Bottle conditioned.
Brewed from pale and caramel malts and heavily hopped with Hersbracker and Saaz hops, this is a beer for the connoisseur, who does not shy away from a robust hoppiness. Its full, smooth flavor makes it an ideal session beer.

Bottle 33cl @ [ Tasting in Ulfborg ].
Clear medium orange amber color with a small, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dusty, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (110708)

330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Mid orange, some sinky bits, small tight persistent head. Honey first, then apples and peaches. Soft carbonation, smooth body. Sweet pale malt taste, almost wheaty in its fruity lightness. Slight hint of soap, decent bitter hoppy presence - tingles the mouth just a little. Some burnt edges to the malt too, it’s that and sticky noble hops that remain in the finish. Covers 7% very well, not a hint that it’s that strong. I can believe that people want to session this. Quite characterful and complex.

ogivlado (7764) - Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 1, 2008
Bottled(330ml). -Cloudy peach coloured, small white head, interesting nose...brewing cereals and hops. Sweet malty, very hoppy and mild coriander spicy taste with notes of fruits and caramel. Very smooth, notes of vanilla in the finish. Decent belgian ale.

AtlAggie (241) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - AUG 25, 2008
33cl bottle. Pours hazy golden color with hints of orange, smallish white head. Nose of yeast and malts with touch of citrus. Flavor follows the aroma, lots of yeast, malty sweetness, but not over the top. Balanced out by light hops and some citrus and honey notes. Found it to be really well balanced and very drinkable. Nice beer.

Bottle, Hops are a bit dulled in this older example of the beer, all round nice beer, with dry finish to keep you coming back for another.

(Rating #1861)

Huge, dense & creamy, cream-coloured head over fully hazy orange beer. Caramel, alcohol and English toffees; later grass and parsley aromas. Sweet, with a discreet, quite spicy background bitterness. Roast spices, citrus touch, very outspoken maltunderbuild. Very good blending of flavours. Very creamy texture, yeast determined; medium to well-bodied, light alcoholwarming. Excellent, accomplished beer. I can understand the distress of our Dutch tasters in having one of the best Dutch micros moving to Belgium. It’s the quadrature of the circle succeeded!

Courtesy of Fonefan. Golden with an OK head. The aroma is fruity and sweetish. The flavour has sweetness, notes of candy sugar, fruit, a little spice and the bitterness is low in spite of the promises of lots of hops. Anyhow, it’s quite charming and pleasant to drink.

Head is good thin but strong on an orange to gold pour good carbonation.Aroma fruity hoppy, orange peel.Flavour malty, spiciness, wheat and alcohol taste, banana. The finish is great on the tummy(warm feeling)flavours have an alcohol taste that is warm and dry, like this one.
