UPDATED: JUN 1, 2009 Brown coloured beer with a medium diminishing off-white head. Roasted aroma with some malts. Full palate bit bitter and dry. Finish is bitter malty and roasted hinted with some yeast. Nice stout.

Dark red brown body with a fast disappering beige head; Very malty milk chocolate nose with a slight salty chalky background; Quite thin texture still soft, huge carbonation, sweet, slightly salt body; Malt bitter finish that has some length, strange chalk aromas I guess from the shells.

From bottle at In de Wildeman. Almost black with a beige head. Malty aroma with hints of chocolate and milk. Good milk chocolate and fruity flavours, quite sweet throughout, but some roast adds a bit of bitterness. A bit light-bodied for all the flavours. A strong sweet beer that nonetheless is quite pleasing.

Bottled(330ml). -Muddy brown coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, dusty light roasted nose. Roasted malts, milk chocolate and dried fruits with notes of prunes and coffee. Oysters-to be honest I haven’t felt anything like that. Overall very good and enjoyable stout.

My Bottom Line:
The candied sweetness of vanilla and milk chocolate personifies this slick and very drinkable strong Stout for sweet teeth.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the brown-sleeved blackness.
-Diplomatic roastiness and earthiness stand nearby.
-Small, friendly bubbles enhance the slick impression provided by the dextrins and malty flavor profile.
-There is no sign of the alcohol in the flavor profile.
-The flavor profile is mostly sweet, but never overly so.
-There are fruity undertones in the vanilla-like sweetness.
-This is not super complex for a strong Stout, but it remains quite enjoyable and well crafted.

Bottle; best before 2010.

Dark beer with a small head. A typical stout with coffee and caramel notes. A very long lasting aftertaste
