Bottle at In de Wildeman. Dark brown to black beer, beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malts, some saltiness, some chocolate. Flavours are the same, nice sweetness over a fullbodied roastedness leading to a nice bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 21, 2008
33cl bottle, via jbrus. Pours a cloudy dark brown body with a small foamy light brown head that faded to a partial covering. The nose is very roasty with a noticable amount of oxidation. Cocoa and coffee with a good bit of yeast, even some light smoke. Maybe this is a little over the hill, but I think it’s still pretty good. Roast and sherry-like oxidation go well together. Dry and roasty up front, slightly sweet on the finish, lots of earthy yeast. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a touch of clingy stickiness on the finish. Moderate fizzy carbonation, lingering finish. Overall, pretty enjoyable, but it might not be for everybody. corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2008
Pours a very dark chocolate brown color with a foamy tan/ yelowish head. The aroma consists of dark roasted chocolate maltiness and salt seafood. Smooth roasted malty flavor with hints of chocolate, toffee, oatmeal, coffee and seafood(oysters). The fish taste is not toooverpowering however. Very unique. UPDATED: JUN 1, 2009 Brown coloured beer with a medium diminishing off-white head. Roasted aroma with some malts. Full palate bit bitter and dry. Finish is bitter malty and roasted hinted with some yeast. Nice stout. henrikb (1263) - Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2008
Dark red brown body with a fast disappering beige head; Very malty milk chocolate nose with a slight salty chalky background; Quite thin texture still soft, huge carbonation, sweet, slightly salt body; Malt bitter finish that has some length, strange chalk aromas I guess from the shells. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 20, 2008
From bottle at In de Wildeman. Almost black with a beige head. Malty aroma with hints of chocolate and milk. Good milk chocolate and fruity flavours, quite sweet throughout, but some roast adds a bit of bitterness. A bit light-bodied for all the flavours. A strong sweet beer that nonetheless is quite pleasing. Brouwser (119) - gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 17, 2008

Bottled(330ml). -Muddy brown coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, dusty light roasted nose. Roasted malts, milk chocolate and dried fruits with notes of prunes and coffee. Oysters-to be honest I haven’t felt anything like that. Overall very good and enjoyable stout.
