SimonBlok (761) - GRONINGEN, NETHERLANDS - OCT 1, 2016
33cl bottle at home. Appearance: dark with medium light beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, burnt sugar. Taste: fairly high sweetness with high bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, cacao, caramel, burnt sugar and bread. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and medium carbonation. The taste has some similarities with abbey doubles and it has quite a light body compared to other Imperial Stouts.

Christos (5889) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 7, 2016
(Scheldebrouwerij Oesterstout) At MOUT bierfestival NIjmegen, I remember having it before, surprised it wasn’t rated. 150ml glass. Black coloured body with a tall and thick beige head on top, good retention. Aroma of toasted malts, olive pit, heavy caramel. Taste also of caramel somehow, roasted malts, sugars. Medium thin body with soft carbonation. Decent but nothing special.

Black beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, malts, caramel. Taste is the same, somewhat watery. meh

3.3
MelvinKalksma (1719) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 12, 2016

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, dried fruits, liquorice and chocolate.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/brown beer with heavy yeast and with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast, dried fruit, liquorice and chocolate.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, but lacks complexity and balance. It is really odd to be fair. This beer is watery, sweet and just plain weird.

Pretty decent stout. A rather soft and well balanced taste for a "fishy" beer, I enjoyed it.

3.2
stouby (4779) - Holbæk, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2016
Bottle at home. Clear brown with a light brown head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, brown sugar). Flavor heavy sweet, light bitter. Medium body, heavy alcohol.

2.9
Speko (480) - DENMARK - APR 17, 2016
Bottle 0,33. Pours dark brown with large beige head. Roasted malts, caramel, raisins, wood, a hint of chocolate, coffee, salty licorice. Taste follows the aroma with a bit peat and salt in the aftertaste. A bit watery. Medium body and high carbonation. All in all, not what I would expect from a stout.
