(Scheldebrouwerij Oesterstout) At MOUT bierfestival NIjmegen, I remember having it before, surprised it wasn’t rated. 150ml glass. Black coloured body with a tall and thick beige head on top, good retention. Aroma of toasted malts, olive pit, heavy caramel. Taste also of caramel somehow, roasted malts, sugars. Medium thin body with soft carbonation. Decent but nothing special.

MelvinKalksma (1516) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 12, 2016

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, dried fruits, liquorice and chocolate.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/brown beer with heavy yeast and with a slight/medium beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast, dried fruit, liquorice and chocolate.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, but lacks complexity and balance. It is really odd to be fair. This beer is watery, sweet and just plain weird.

Pretty decent stout. A rather soft and well balanced taste for a "fishy" beer, I enjoyed it.

Bottle at home. Clear brown with a light brown head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, brown sugar). Flavor heavy sweet, light bitter. Medium body, heavy alcohol.

Speko (403) - DENMARK - APR 17, 2016
Bottle 0,33. Pours dark brown with large beige head. Roasted malts, caramel, raisins, wood, a hint of chocolate, coffee, salty licorice. Taste follows the aroma with a bit peat and salt in the aftertaste. A bit watery. Medium body and high carbonation. All in all, not what I would expect from a stout.

Kleurplaatje (196) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 10, 2016
Pours hazy brown with a stable off-white head. Yeasty, fruity aroma with some citric notes, but also something metallic and vegetable-ish. Not bad, but a bit odd. Tastewise pretty decent though. Moderately sweet with a nice dark fruity kick. Bit of a yeasty kick as well.. Some chocolate far away, clear roastiness and some bitterness and a warming bite near the (somewhat sweetish) end. Pretty well-balanced however and definitely not bad. Medium bodied, pretty full and thick texture. Would’nt recall this a classic Stout though, as it is a bit too easy to drink. But despite all that, still a pleasant brew in terms of taste.

Bottle from Honza Lucky Bastard. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of dark malt, roasted malt, sherry, peat. Nice chocolate taste with coffee, caramel, vanilla, alcohol. Tasty.

Svart med lavt lys brunt skum. Starter med søtlige lukter, tørket frukt og vanilje. Også trevirke og salt lakris er med. Middels fylde. Noe salt, lett bittert brent karamell og karamellsødme. Kort
