Bottle. Yellow/golden with large white head. Aroma of pilsner malt, light DMS, and grassy/floral hops. Light body, moderate hop bitterness, DMS, and a light sweet finish. bluemooner (657) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - OCT 27, 2014
Pours a clear yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is grain and grassy hops but pretty mild. Flavor is grain, corn, some citrus notes, and light grassy hops. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty mild overall. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - AUG 3, 2014

355ml bottle. Pale piss pour. Musty smell, fruits, big mineral presence. Flavor is light and bready, bit sweet for the style, definitely some spice and metal. Not a fan, much better pilseners out there. steve1966 (131) - Florida, USA - MAY 13, 2014

Pours a pale golden with a small head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Skyview (5907) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - APR 27, 2014
The aroma offers some clay, some minerallity, & some light noble hops. It smells mildly sweet. It’s not off putting... I suppose.
The flavor is a touch cereal forward & a little corny... but it’s got a decent zippy hoppiness to it... the sweetness holds it back from anything I’d really call ’crisp’ but I’ve had far worse pilsners.
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Heritage Liquors, in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear golden straw colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that dissolves clean with a thin white film ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, some corn/grits, sweet floral hops and a touch of honey. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, corn grits, some dry hard fruit skin and a touch of honey. Finish is a touch gritty, some semi-sweet malt background but also some extra spicy/grassy hop bite. A tad more hops and yeast in this 1984 recipe than I remembered back then. wlajwl (6738) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 25, 2014
Aroma is yeast, bread and mild pale lager sweetness. The flavor is pale malts, slightly off-putting sweetness and a mildly bitter finish. nuplastikk (6206) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 20, 2014
12oz bottle. Filtered yellow-tan-orange body. Respectable white head. Aroma is not nice, sweet factory sugar and some old school noble hops. The body isn’t so bad, and there is some noble hops, just tastes cheap and corny, grainy. Definitely not one I’d revisit. JK (6090) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - APR 19, 2014
From the sampler of pilsner bottles. This is what I expect of a 1984 American lager, formerly called American Standard on ratebeer. Dry with a light chemical flavor and dry hop aftertaste. Not really bad, and this beer does have decent palate. It also looks nice with a large head that laces t he glass.
