Bottle. Hazy yellow with large white head. Aroma of pilsner malt, floral, and lemon. Light body, moderate hop bitterness, citrus (lemon), light metallic notes, and a dry finish. Definitely more pilsner than roggenbier as the rye doesn’t really come through. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - AUG 13, 2014

12oz bottle 8/7/14 (Woodmans-Waukesha Mix A Six)-48° in Shaker-Pours a clear light golden with a nice sized white head. Aroma of malt, hops, and grains. Taste of the same with some fruitiness and rye. This light bodied brew is well balanced and goes down easy. crossovert (13747) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 25, 2014
355ml bottle. Pale gold pour, no lacing. Smell is dry, hay, hint of white grape. Flavor is nice. Dry crackery malt bill, slightly oatmeally, bright hops, fruitiness. Better than the Madarina or the 1984. steve1966 (131) - Florida, USA - MAY 20, 2014

Pours perfectly clear with a pale golden color, lots of tiny bubbles and a big fluffy white head that leaves ample lacing on the glass.
The aroma is earthy, almost clay like with some french bread & a light herbal hoppiness.
The flavor is basically dry & nicely crisp... it’s got a sort of sharp herbal character.... which is neat. The beer has a touch of metallic character and a good bit of doughy yeastiness.
The palate is sharp and nicely bodied to suit the flavor, not thin but not heavy either.
Perfectly enjoyable, thanks mycate!
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Heritage Liquors, in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with an average sized head the slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, some grassy hops and a touch of saltine crackers. Taste is light to medium bodied, average carbonation with more of a dry malt flavor than the 2014 recipe. Finish is semi-dry with more rye character than its aroma and flavor. A hundred miles lighter than the Anniversary Roggenbier back in 2009. wlajwl (7013) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 25, 2014
Aroma is grains, lemons/fruit and mild rye notes. The flavor is light grapefruit, citrus, malts, fruit and a mildly spicy rye finish. nuplastikk (6420) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 19, 2014
12oz bottle. Hyper filtered yellow-tan body. Foamy white head. Not much rye character, thankfully stays in true Pils territory. Grassy, herbal hop touches. The rye adds some extra body, heft to the final product. The noble hops are steady, guiding it along nicely. Medium bodied. Pretty decent offering. Tap at Northbound. Clear light gold to yellow pour. Small white head. Little bit of rye spiciness to this, and some cracker. Another good pils from Schell.
