Courtesy jsquire. Call me nuts but I enjoyed this. It’s a little too sweet and simple, reminding me more of an Ofest than a bock. Strong caramel and toffee taste, and weak notes of tea and hay. Too thin on the mouthfeel and overall simplistic, but very drinkable. LinusStick (3459) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2007
A very nice dunkler bock. Aroma was so so. Could smell dark malt with a hint of caramel. Pour was a beautiful dark brown with a 2 finger tan head which left quickly. Taste was very drinkable. Strong iced tea flavor with some dark malt and not much else. Nicely carbonated and delicious. SavageElvis (134) - Savage, Minnesota, USA - OCT 18, 2007
Pours out a nice dark brown color with a light tan head. Light sweet aroma. Upon tasting the Caramel/malt flavor is in there, but a little watery and under powered. The nice rich color fools the palate thinking there should be more flavor. A small sips flavor stays fairly consistent from beginning to end. My 12 oz. serving left very little lacing behind as well as my high expectations for this beer. An average Bock. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 16, 2007
I think this beer is a little bit under raed. It has nice caramel character, its just a bit weak and watery. biggmike (480) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - OCT 16, 2007
Poured a brown/ruby color with a small off-white head that disappeared pretty quickly. Aroma is light, but of caramel malt. Flavor is of caramel malt and toffee. Mouthfeel is good as carbonation is soft. Pretty easy drinker this one. I would have again, but wouldnt go out of my way to seek out.

Aroma is a mild caramel scent. Color is a crisp brown with very low carbonation and a fair head. Taste caramel and malt. Starting with a medium body it goes down very smooth with a sweet taste coming in. Finish a sweet malt flavor backed by a faint hop flavor. Nice beer. UPDATED: OCT 9, 2007 12oz bottle-A dark brown body with a small tan head with an aroma of caramel, toffee, and dark malts. Taste of caramel, toffee, coffee, and sweetness. Not a bad bock. Nice flavors. thegreenrooster (4402) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 14, 2007
Pour is a dark brown with a average tan head. Aroma is nothing to write home about, just some sweetness is all. Flavor is a little more decent. Some caramel malt with a touch of dark fruit. Still this is sub-par for a bock. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

clear dark amber, wispy off white head, strong sweet caramel malt aroma with a hint of spices, a bit thin, rich caramel malt flavor, well tempered sweetness
Aroma: 7/10; Appearance: 8/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 11/20
Bottle. Very dark pour and a thick head. A subtle, sweet aroma. The sweetness in the flavor is subtle too. Just a decent bock, a hell of a lot better than Huber not nearly as good as Anchor.
