(12oz bottle) Clear brown-red body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, bread. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some bread. Medium-full body, some stickiness. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 20, 2006
Clear reddish brown in colour, with a moka quickly dissipating head. Sweet caramel with hints of oxidation, and fruits, like prunes or plums. In mouth, a sweet malt with nutty notes, no hops, a bit harsh in aftertaste. Rather light bodied. Bottle from Piscator, merci Kris! hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2006
12oz bottle shared courtesy of weeare138. Poured a deep orange color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, and has a roastiness to it. Tastes of weaker caramel and nothing else to really note or that really stood out. Thin and watery body. Palate cleanser, next... kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

clear dark amber, wispy off white head, strong sweet caramel malt aroma with a hint of spices, a bit thin, rich caramel malt flavor, well tempered sweetness
Aroma: 7/10; Appearance: 8/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 11/20
Deep copper pour, with medium white head. malty, fruity, slightly floral, spicy, sour aroma. Tastes malty, with a slight tartness at the finsih, coupled with a definite cognacy aftertaste. Slightly light in palate for a bock, but not bad.

Dark caramel amber colour with a moderate off white head. Aroma is sweetly malty with a touch of caramel. Flavour is sweetly malty with some toffee flavours over mild alcohol notes. Palate and flavour is lighter than the doppelbock which i think is definitely the better of the two. Thanks obisbeer. drowland (8764) - Georgia, USA - AUG 22, 2009
Have had this on tap and from the bottle. Not a bad entry from an otherwise mediocre brewery. drfabulous (7950) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAR 15, 2009
Forgotten for some time in the fridge. Removed today to make a bread. Caramel. Soda. Bit of Pepsi in there. Still carbonated. Ok. At best, ok. FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2007 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a ruby chestnut color with a large tan head. The aroma was light sour and tangy malts with a hint of caramel. The flavor is light caramel, tangy malts and finishes up with vague bitterness and a hint of caramel. A bit too thin and too bland. This beer has promise but fails to deliver. Bottled. Poured a clear garnet/amber with a medium cap of off-white head. The nose was full of artificial sweetener and caramel... maybe a little toffee and floral, but not much. The flavor was sweet, too.. some caramel, some toffee, but very artificial feeling. Light-bodied and slicker on the palate with a tacky finish. Not very good.
