3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear dirty copper with a 3 finger, creamy off white head, that has great retention and leaves nice sheets of lacing. Toasty, nutty and spicy aroma, light fruit and bread notes. Flavor is very nice, citrus, tree fruit and a mint like note backed up by a spicy, nutty and light toffee malt backbone. Medium strength and sharpness, blanketing carbonation. Pretty tasty overall, hard to compare it to anything else, sort of a hoppy, spicy and fruity Dunkel.
Copper with a light patina color. Taller, aged paper colored head with nice lace. Big fresh hops aromas, pure Spire B scents. Underneath lies some spicy rye hints. Initial sweet and spice hit the palate. Hints of licorice and pine. Slick light oily feel. Finishes with the rye bread and hit of herbal hops. This is one of those brews that makes me think. I like the components, but there are times I think they work and others I’m not so sure. I could definitely sit by a fire and have a few of these and try to sort out my thoughts. 8/12 harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - NOV 17, 2013

Amber lager with a sheet of creamy foam atop a brilliantly clarified beer. Smells primarily of malt, then some corn and flour tortilla and a touch of fruity hops. Flavor is all malt, some grass, some hay, some tea. The flavor profile seems really german in the hop character, with a hint of spice and raw grassiness. Medium on full for the style with a moderate carb and a wet finish. Nice beer, I am seriously on the fence for this one. On the one hand I feel like: "well, I would drink this." on the other I say, "I can’t quite get my finger on this, so I’m uncertain of my feelings on this..."
Hmmm, totally torn on this one.
Slightly hazed amber with a thin tan topper. Aroma is herbal and noble with strong rye. Easy drinking brew packs a lot of rye with pale malts and semi-noble hops and a clean boring finish. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 14, 2013
Bottle at Dean’s stickiest floor tasting. Pours an amber, clear beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma is grainy, caramel and toffee. Flavor is quite thin and sweet. Not too special, decent brew, nothing more, nothing less. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2013
Bottle @ dean. Aroma is faint malt. Flavour is bitter of rye, some liquorice, bit of caramel. Okay.

Bottle at Deano’s monthly tasting, September. Poured a clear chesnut brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is malty. The flavour is medium bitter with a truly awful bitter finish. One to avoid. Benzai (16783) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2013
Bottle @ Tasting. Clear amber color, small white head. Smell malts and grains. Taste malts, rye and grains and a bit yeasty. Average body and carbonation. Hmm average at best. Zer0 (1226) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2013
