COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This all malt, Vienna-style lager is a real crowd pleaser! Roasted malts and imported hops give it a deliciously smooth malt taste backed by a light hop finish. Perfect for any occasion.

Light red, small head. One dimensional flavor of somewhat sweet malt. Better than many other Vienna’s I have had.

Pours a light red/copper with a pillowy tan head. Moderate chunky lacing. Nose is toast, biscuit, corn, honey, butterscotch. Light to medium mouthfeel. Kinda sweet, caramelly malt,’whole grain bread, molasses, faint noble/ citrus hop in the finish. Not awful.

on tap pours dark amber, with a thick, off-white head. Caramel, lightly toasty aroma. Taste is sweet caramel malt.

The aroma is the best part of this beer. Once you get past the maple and vanilla aromas, all you have left is a rather ordinary heavy beer. This brewery does make a bad beer, and this is close.

Orange color, looked pretty nice. Taste was a little thin, bitterness is noted in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer to drink with friends. Part of a sampler pack.

Well-balanced aroma with a malt base and flowery-hop backdrop, hinting of caramel. Nice red-orange color. Flavor and especially the body fall flat, however: a sour mix of malts with little else to speak of, in an extremely watery base. Trying to be tactful in stating that the finish has hints of underarm odor! Still quite drinkable in the sense that it’s easy to guzzle down so there’s only one instance of "finish" per bottle, and the beer buzz is pretty clean

This vienna pours cloudy and has a prune color. The aroma is malty and the flavor is sweet and malty. I could not detect any smoke or fire flavor as the label may lead you to believe. The body is thin and smooth. Not bad.

Orange-amber pour, with white head. Stinky malt aroma. Dry dusty old malt flavor. Finish doesn’t exist. This beer has no value.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2008 This is fairly good, but not all that great to me. It is red-brown with a thin, light tan head that dissipates quickly to a foamy ring. The aroma is sweetish, malty grain with yeast, hints of molassess and a definite light earthy quality. The taste is as the aroma, but with an oddly light body, and a light grain aftertaste. It has both sweetness and bitterness but not too much of either and tends towards the sweet side. It also has a hint of baked apple. It’s not bad and is drinkable, but it’s not that satisfying to me. It’s somewhat like a vague, slightly fruity and earthy ESB without the bitterness. In the end, this is definitely a vienna, but lacks the character or interest of others like Sprecher’s.
