This all malt, Vienna-style lager is a real crowd pleaser! Roasted malts and imported hops give it a deliciously smooth malt taste backed by a light hop finish. Perfect for any occasion.

A redish copper color with little head or lacing. It had a little sweet taste with a citrus aroma. It was an OK light beer.

Roasted caramel sugars, a somewhat burnt edge that maybe contributes to it's sour-ish ending. Lemon and ouzo too? A little hop bitterness mixed in the sweet sticky finish.

Murky oarange with much head. Not very much aroma either. Good clean malty character but not much more than that. I think maybe the sample was not in the best shape though.

JFGrind (2043) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2005
Fleeting head, soft carbonation and orange colored body. Crisp and malty flavor. Extremely easy drinking lager. Average at best, must be going after macro drinkers with this recipe.

On Tap at The Copper Stein in MSP airport: Had I known this was a Vienna which as I just found out is similar to Oktoberfest’s I would have tried something else. Honestly, I could barely tell the difference between this brew and Schell’s Oktoberfest. I didn’t think it was anything special. A clear amber in color dominated by soft malts, fruits and chlorine/tin tastes. It has a creamy feel, but it is followed by a major cae of metallic mouth. Do you remember when you were a kid and you licked the bars at the playground. Just try Firebrick and you essentially get the same sensation, minus all the germs. Combine this metallic feel with a soapy taste and there you go. No thanks.

RAYBOY01 (2011) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 7, 2006
Easy drinking and insubstantial lager. Sweet caramel malt flavor up front for about half a swallow, then it’s gone. Mild floral hopping. Does not offend me, if that helps.

YourDarkLord (1800) - Urbana, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2004
Dark amber with off-white head. Complex aroma of vanilla, licorice, maybe caramel. Some sweetness, honey in the taste but the whole combination just doesn't make it.

OD40oz (774) - Box Elder, South Dakota, USA - DEC 12, 2004
I thought this would be some good beer. It had a pretty cool story behind it but all it turned out to be was a piss hard-on followed by a bad case of blue balls. I didn’t think the taste lived up to the hype.

Bottle. Pours clear dark yellow with a large rocky off-white head, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, meal), light hops (grass), average yeast (sweat) with notes of apple. Light bodied, slick texture, average carbonation and a metallic finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.
