bottle, pours light yellow with a pilowy white head. Aroma is all corn and cereal grains. Flavor is the same with tons of corn and grass. Eh. Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - JAN 25, 2010
Nice golden color, small head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind. The aroma was grainy some mild hops in the background. The flavor was nothing special, grainy and cerealish with a faint atempt at hopping in the way way way back background. It could be a decent lawnmower brew if super cold but bring that temp up a bit and it’s a garbage pail taste. bhensonb (15973) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 20, 2009
Bottle from allendodd. Thank’s for this one! Pours gold with a three finger foamy head. Rather bready aroma. Almost a honey note. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is pleasant, mildly bready, and a detectable amount of grassy hop. Finishes nice and clean. The hop increases with time. Put me on a lake with this, and I’d be happy. One of the better pale lagers I’ve had. OD40oz (774) - Box Elder, South Dakota, USA - SEP 27, 2009
What a find!! Great white trash treasure. This beer is simply kick ass. The bottles are cool with the different lakemaids. The beer pours a dark gold. Very good lager taste. I could drink this stuff all day everyday if I had the opportunity. The caps are the best. They each have a species of fish and a weight for it underneath the cap. Nothing like getting drunk and fishing without having to leave the house. heemer77 (5361) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - AUG 11, 2009
Bright medium gold colored body with a bright white head. The aroma was light bread crust with some hay and a little bit of sweet potato. The taste has some strong notes of raw bread dough, especially in the finish. There is also a little bit of raw potato. A hint of black pepper spice tells me that there is a hint of hops in this doughy mess. A let down for Schell, but certainly drinkable.

Straw colored with some quickly fading white foam atop. Aroma of grassy hops, corn, grains and light sweet malt. Taste reminiscent of most American macro lagers… corn, sweet malt and mild case of the hops, this time a touch grassy. Body is a bit grainy and finishes up rather sweet, not bad for the style. Another random gift from my supervisor... thanks Jim. Very pale golden straw colour. The aroma is lightly corny with a bit of very light flavour. Kind of bland and unappealing. Lightly grassy with a clean finish. Not a whole lot going on in here... I’d probably just throw this maid back. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - APR 27, 2009
Pours pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is corn/grainy malt. Yeasty earthy tones, mown hay hops. Flavour is straw-like hop and a slightly astringent grainy body. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - FEB 13, 2009
In the botle from HyVee CB. Pours pale yellow with a dense medium sized white head. This is a typically boring beer a la Twins Lager and Grain Belt, but this one has outstanding big boobed women on the label morphed into various hybrid-fish entities. Just like Frank Zappa sez: titties and beer make a good combo. JPDIPSO (6298) - Wauwatosa, USA - NOV 30, 2008
Straw color with a fairly quickly diminishing white head. Scents of grain, mild malt, corn syrup and a hint of floral hops. Heavier feel, as least by style. Grainy and corn flavors. Just seems heavy to me. Light sweet finish and linger. Perhaps if it had more malt flavor the heaviness would seem justified.
