More like an imperial Pilsner, but I like this beer. Malty and hoppy...but tastes like many others. Perhaps arbitrarily called a maibock to justify the high ABV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(bottle) Pours a clear gold color with a medium white head. Aroma is faintly floral and mixed with some orange zest along with honey-nut cheerios. Im also getting some spice that takes the form of cinnamon. The flavor holds honey, minerals, spicy hops and a lingering bread-like finish. A little bit of Assam tea is in here as well. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is toned down. This is pretty solid overall.

On tap at Runyons. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has sweet grains and sweet bread with a hint of hay underlying. Flavor has lots of grain and straw with a bit of sweet bread.

Medium body, mild taste, enjoyed it but it only stood out next to the three lousy pours that rounded out my flight.

Solid all around springtime beer. Easy drinking, crisp but a nice smooth malt base.

Pours a clear straw golden color with white head. Cereal grains, floral notes, and some citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes clean.

Tap at JL Beers. Awful flute glass. Light golden with a healthy head and respectable lacing. The grain and malt presence is enjoyable. Mild bitterness mostly boxed out by sweetness. Relatively refreshing and pleasant. Surprised because its late in the maibock season. One of the stronger options from a lackluster brewery.
